One of my biggest obstacles after getting my hair professionally dyed is finding a sulfate- free shampoo and conditioner that won’t wash off a significant chunk of hair color. You know, there’s not a lot of affordable and good sulfate- free shampoos around; they are a dime a dozen and this is why I would always need to shell out a bit more for sulfate- free, color- friendly shampoos and conditioners post- hair coloring. The shampoo has an emulsion like consistency and pearlized formula and it is low foaming, which is great because it doesn’t dry out my hair even more. A pearlized formula means that there are moisturizing ingredients in the shampoo, which helps maintain healthy, shiny- looking hair. I also love that it rinses out easily.
The conditioner has a light cream texture, but don’t be fooled, it’s highly moisturizing. I like that the texture is lightly creamy, making it easier to spread; that means it’s more economical so I don’t have to pump out a lot and add water to it just to make it spreadable, which in my opinion dilutes the formula so as much as possible, I don’t like adding water to my conditioner! I’ve been using Hello Glow’s shampoo and conditioner and it’s been great. My hair feels nice and bouncy, and it smells pretty good too, though the fragrance is mild and does not last the whole day. I actually like that it has a mild fragrance because I don’t really like overly perfumed hair care because it clashes with the perfume that I'm wearing. More than the beautifying and nourishing effects, I mainly love it because there’s finally a sulfate- free shampoo and conditioner that will be my go- to every time I color my hair.
