Here's an initial review on NYX ROUND LIPSTICK IN LOUISIANA

THE VERDICT:
Lately, I'm into Pink. I bought a pink keyboard silicone protector, pink doorknob whatnot, pink notebook, and a pink underwear. And now, I want to buy more pink lipsticks. And this is the first of a hundred more pink shades I'm bound to get (LOL!).
Louisiana is one of the most popular shades from the NYX Round lipstick line. It is a fuchsia lipstick on the warmer side. If I'm not mistaken, this could be a great dupe for MAC's Girl About Town.
Ingredients
Finish is semi- matte, and it imparts an opaque finish. Swipe it once and you're good to go!
It's a universally flattering shade of fuchsia pink so hot pink lipstick newbies can't go wrong on this one.
Here's moi wearing the lipstick. It's cheap but it delivers. However, I need to apply lip balm underneath as this lipstick can be a bit drying. Staying power is good. I have to reapply this once to twice during wear.
The Beauty Junkee highly recommends it! It brightens up your face and is a great alternative to the classic red lipstick. :)

ReplyDeleteI love NYX's Louisiana as well and to lighten the shade up a bit I top it off with a gloss. That's what I usually do to lighten my lipsticks if I feel that they are too dark for me. =)
