Here’s an initial review on Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate
If you like staying up until the wee hours of the morning like me, you’re probably waking up to a dull- looking skin every single morning. It’s somehow dehydrated, and it’s not glowing even if you’ve had enough sleep. A bad habit such as sleeping late is one of the culprits behind lifeless skin.
My most- trusted brand for Skin Care, Kiehl’s has come up with a powerful serum to banish dull skin even if you’ve had minimal to no sleep at all.
You’ve probably come across blogs that took on the KIEHL’S 15- DAY MIDNIGHT RECOVERY CONCENTRATE CHALLENGE. My lemming for the product was born after reading Shen, Nikki, Frances, and Roanne’s thoughts about Kiehl’s newest product. But even if I didn’t, I would try it anyway ‘cos I’m a huge fan of the brand. Even bloggers overseas swear by this stuff.
Thanks to God and to Roanne of All The Vanity, I’ve had the chance to initiate my own 15- day Midnight Recovery Challenge.
Ingredients
Let’s go to the product details first.
I love the bottle. It’s in my favorite color, and the flacon’s design is reminiscent of those ancient potion bottles. You guys know how much I love vintage stuff.
The dropper’s made of glass. If you have this, I advise that you be extra careful when using the product ‘cos you might end up breaking the whole thing. Oh, the bottle’s made of glass too.
The Midnight Recovery Concentrate is made up of dry oil. It’s a mixture of various distilled plant extracts that are known to heal and rejuvenate skin.
It goes on a bit oily when applied, but it dries to a moisturizing finish with a hint of sheen. It has a soothing Lavender scent. You can use it alone or under moisturizer. It is advised that you use the product during nighttime only.
Caveat: Chipping label
I’ve religiously used the product for 15 days and patiently documented the results. This product promises rejuvenated and radiant skin overnight with just two drops. But two drops may not suffice as advertised. What you’ll need depends on the size of your face. I use 5 small drops to cover my entire face. 1= Forehead, 1= Left Cheek, 1=Right Cheek, 4=Nose, 5=Chin and Philtrum (the hollow area that extends from the tip of your upper lips to the end of your nose’s bridge).
So here’s my 15- day journey with Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate:
5TH DAY:. Every morning, I make it a habit to check my face in the mirror during my 15- day challenge. I’ve noticed that my skin looked pretty healthy by this day.
10TH DAY: Skin is radiant with or without make-up on, and it also prevented breakouts caused by late- night sleeping. I’ve also noticed that it sorta’ healed some of my existing pimples.
15TH DAY: Radiant skin! My skin has never looked this glowing! I’ve also noticed that my skin has become smoother and softer.
Up to this day, I’m still using the serum. I’m already nearing my second month of usage. This stuff really works! Bottle’s still almost full. A 30ml bottle will last you for more than a year!
For a serum, it’s pretty affordable considering that most high- end serums can cost you a fortune. It’s all- natural, and it’s only made up of oil extracts. And it works!
Some bloggers said that it made their skin oily after a period of usage. I have oily skin, and it didn’t aggravate my skin condition. If you overdo your application, you’ll end up with a very oily skin surface in the morning. So follow the instructions, and just apply a sheer layer on your face. Gals with dry skin will fare well with this product too since its oil-based formulation will help soothe flaky areas.
Even if this product does wonders in concealing and healing skin boo boos, it is still equally important to sleep early, and get lots of it.
Will I buy this again? A resounding YES! This serum has turned me from a fan to a zealot!

you're glowing Martha! The only serum I've tried is Godiva Vitamin C serum. Made my skin glow din kahit papano. As of now, Vitamin C cream lang gamit ko as moisturizer everyday. Thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteI'm also an avid fan of Midnight Recovery concentrate since August. Up to now I still have the half of it. My bottle label didn't flake though. Last December when I heard that they'll include the concentrate in their beauty boxes, I did bought a back up! :)
ReplyDeleteBdw, have you heard about their powerful-strength line-reducing concentrate? It's also an excellent product that I'm in love with!
OR: Hi dear! welcome to my blog! :D Nope, haven't tried it pa. When I turn 25, I shall give it a try. But for now, I'm contented with this product. It works! :D
