Sumptuous Sundays: Antonio's Tagaytay

Hello everyone! For today's Sumptuous Sundays blog post, I'll muse about one of Tagaytay's most luxurious restaurants, Antonio's Grill.

Antonio's Grill is a huge private restaurant compound tucked away from the busy portion of Tagaytay. It serves international and Filipino fusion cuisine. If you're looking for an intimate place to celebrate an important milestone in your life, I highly recommend this place because the lush green setting and fantastic meals will truly make your celebration memorable.

As you enter the huge wooden doors, you are welcomed into the abode of the family of Antonio, the owner of place, through these family portraits; It is a mansion converted into a restaurant.

They only accept 'by reservation only' visits. But Antonio's Breakfast place, (which is also located inside the compound) the area right below Antonio's, can accept walk- ins. It only serves breakfast meals though.

Watermelon Sherbet- they serve this before the meal (or was it after?) the main course to clear your palate for dessert.

PRICE RANGE: 'nuff said. Haha!

Free bread to calm down a rumbling tummy.

Menu: If you want to know the price range by numbers, meals start at P300- P13,800.00.

Dalandan Juice

Arugula salad, Sun- Dried Tomato, Gorgonzola, and Walnuts with Balsamic Reduction for an Arugula monster like me.

Herbed Oven- Roasted Tomato Soup with bread stick

Sauwieg Haxen Roasted Pork Knuckle- Sosyal na Crispy Pata! LOL! Kidding aside, the German cuisine is truly a fan of anything Pork, especially Pork knuckles. You'll see various 'Crispy Pata' versions in different German restaurants because it's one of their staple food.

Herbed Rack of Lamb with Orzo Pasta. Ah, Orzo Pasta! I love you!

Antonio's Trio- a plate of three of Antonio's best- selling steaks.

Pannacota Sampler- In the flavors chocolate, coffee, and vanilla. FYI, Pannacota is my most favorite dessert. What's yours? :)

Felchlin Maracaibo Chocolate Terrine with Double Cream and Roasted Pistachios- sinfully sweet!

Tsokolate eh to cap off a wonderful lunch. The BF opted for coffee instead.

Did you have a great "lunch" with those pics? So let's ease up our intestines by walking around Antonio's!

Another part of the restaurant: Paintings, antique cabinets, lampshades, and vintage liquor bottles.

CAUGHT IN THE ACT!

Antonio's outdoor area- Isn't this view majestic, especially that huge chandelier hanging from the tree? Antonio's has a lot of that. There is art everywhere!

Look at this view. It's like a painting that has come to life, no?

That's it! I would love to go back to this place again because being here just puts me in a contemplative and peaceful mood-- and the food is simply awesome!

Please visit ANTONIO'S WEBSITE for more details about the restaurant.
