 THE VERDICT:

When I want to exude a sexy vibe, I put on lip lacquer; There's something sensual about its creamy, pigmented color and the way it hugs the lips. I discovered a new one today from Revlon called Ultra HD Lip Lacquer in Smoky Topaz and it's the lip lacquer for ladies who want this product in a fresher, more lightweight format.

REVLON ULTRA HD LIP LACQUER IN SMOKY TOPAZ IN DETAIL

Made with an innovative wax- free formula, Ultra HD Lip Lacquer promises true color clarity and while staying lightweight. Available in 15 shades.

The product has a nice crystal touch on the cap, giving it an exquisite feel. The applicator is a small brush; I like it when creamy liquid lippies come with a brush because it makes me feel that I'm 'painting', therefore I tend to come up with better, more even lip looks (aka, lip masterpieces).

REVLON ULTRA HD LIP LACQUER IN SMOKY TOPAZ IN ACTION

Smoky Topaz is a Champagne Nude hue. It's called HD because it looks pretty good in photos and doesn't look as if it's sitting atop your lips and has a faint vanilla scent. Not a fan of this shade though because it makes my teeth look yellow.

I thought at first that its formula would be slippery, won't produce an even payoff, and staying power would suck because it is devoid of wax, an ingredient that combats all these negative effects; To my surprise, it performed as if it had wax, but it felt completely lightweight and non- sticky. It's quite pigmented and color payoff is quite true to the tube! It feels like gel on the lips and keeps my lips moisturized; Staying power is okay as it fades gradually and I like the sexy yet sophisticated and grown- up kind of shine it gives my lips.

I'm pretty impressed with this lip lacquer because of how it's able to maintain its desirable features despite the removal of wax from the formula. It's for anyone who's had it with sticky, heavy lip gloss and lip lacquer!

  1. I love the color! And don't worry it suits you, very pretty as always. I must say I'm also not a fan of nude lippies but this will be an exception for me. I would love to try this out real soon and because you said that the formula is not sticky on the lips I must say I am also impressed.

  5. Infairness this shade looks really good on you. I never tried any lip lacquer because I'm not fan of lipgloss that makes my lips appear bigger.

  6. It's the kind of nude that doesn't make you look like sick. Nice one. Although, I'm thinking if it will look fine with me. And I'm also not quite a fan of glossy lips. So, hehe. :)

  7. I love the formula but I kinda don't like the color, well if I'm gonna use it. I also don't like that it's super glossy and really looks like it would stick to mugs. :/ Maybe I'll like a red or peach one. But if given the choice, I would rather use their super lustrous lipsticks than this. :/
