THE VERDICT:

I'm really digging Mirenesse as a brand because of their chic, modern, cool packaging, plus their brands work too! The next Mirenesse that I'm reviewing from my Sephora.ph loot is the Mattfinity Lip Rouge minis, travel- friendly tubes of moisturizing, semi- matte color.

MIRENESSE MATTFINITY LIP ROUGE IN MINI IN SYDNEY AND ROME IN ACTION

A liquid, matte lipstick that promises hydrating, cushion- like texture and feel; it has GelLite Technology for a comfortable, feather light finish, lip stain anti- feathering technology for persistent wear, line filler technology, and a magic brush that contours to the lips for a 'no lip liner' application; it comes in 10 shades and a 7g version.

I find like the applicators on these lipsticks; they sit comfortably on the lips and perfectly cling from top to bottom horizontally, thus delivering an even, continuously pigmented coverage; you can definitely skip lip liner, thanks to the wand that helps deliver an almost precise color coverage!

The lipsticks have a soft, mousse- like consistency and it starts off as satin and a wee bit glossy, and then eventually dries into a semi- matte finish; texture is smooth, it feels comfortable (definitely no heavy, waxy feel!), and a hint of fruity scent.

MIRENESSE MATTFINITY LIP ROUGE MINI IN SYDNEY AND ROME IN ACTION

SYDNEY

- A reddish Pink with slight silver and pink micro shimmer.

Sydney is a vibrant yet calm and collected city, and this warm color with a kick of fun represents this aspect of the city that I have come to love!

ROME

- A Rose-Lilac shade.

Rome is a nice, soft nude; I like that it gives me a cool, calm look; I haven't been to Rome so I don't know what it's like in there, but I'm pretty sure it's as nice as this shade!

The lipsticks settle into a semi- matte finish; it's not for you if you like the classic, heavy matte look. Staying power is good and leaves a hint of stain when it comes off; I did not experience any dryness in my usage and I like that it provides a smoothing effect to the lips, ergo making it look plumper;  I just wish that more shades will be added to the range because currently, the selections are too pink and red; This is a really nice lipstick range and it's for you if you like the lipstick finish that's in between satin and matte.

  9. The shade Rose looks so pretty! I have never heard of this brand before and it looks like this blog introduced me into the expanding world of beauty. Anyway, I think that the price is pretty decent with your positive review! I am planning on ordering at Sephora so I might add this one to my list. I am eyeing that Rome shade. Maybe it is the western side influencing me but I want my lips to be plumper nowadays. Looking forward to this product!

  12. Both colors look fantastic on you! :) They're not as expensive as I thought they would be, and I think they're priced competitively enough given how promising they perform. I personally prefer the semi-matte lipsticks because my lips tend to look really chappy and flaky even if they're not whenever I use full-on matte lippies. This product will definitely go on my must-have list for this year! :)
