THE VERDICT:

To those who are asking me if professional mineral makeup exists, well, looks like the makeup goddesses have heard you and sent Poise Makeup, a professional makeup brand from the USA, to the Philippines! And to those who think Mineral Makeup can't be PRO, then you have to try this brand; I used to think that too, but Poise Makeup changed that belief of mine - Mineral Makeup can be PRO too!

POISE MAKEUP MINERAL PRESSED CHEEK COLOR AND MINERAL EYESHADOW IN DETAIL

Founded in Hollywood, Poise Makeup is created by makeup artists with over 2 decades of experience in professional makeup artistry; Mineral Eye shadow is talc- free and mineral- extract formula and Mineral Cheek Color helps provide amazing color with minimal application. The blush comes in 8 shades and the eye shadows, in 15 shades.

These products come in small compacts that will roughly fit in any palm; they're that travel- friendly. As for the size, some may think they're too small for the price, but with the pigmentation they deliver, you get what you pay for.

Left: Cheek Color in Hollywood (Top) and Venice (Bottom); Right: Eye Shadow in Luv (Top) and Coco (Bottom)

L-R: Luv and Coco eye shadows; Hollywood and Venice cheek colors

These products were swatched without any primer or water and see how pigmented they are on their own; the eye shadows, in particular, surprised me because despite their dry, matte finish, they go on smoothly, evenly, and they're pretty easy to blend! The blushes are equally smooth and easy to blend too. A majority of the eye shadow shades come in neutral shades (and by the way, they're some of the nicest neutrals I have seen) and the blushes come in basic shades.

POISE MAKEUP MINERAL PRESSED CHEEK COLOR AND MINERAL EYE SHADOW IN ACTION

Hollywood on my cheeks

Hollywood is a dead ringer for NARS Orgasm; both got that same golden peachy pink thing that you like...LOL! (Swifties can get this :D)

Venice on my cheeks

Venice is a close dupe of NARS Gina, my favorite orange blush of all time. Glad to know!

Luv and Coco

Coco is a chocolate brown shade and Luv is a dusty pale pink shade; both come in a matte finish. Luv is love at first sight because I really like its unique shade; it can be use either as a highlighter color or an accent color.

The products have decent lasting power; for the eye shadow, they need a primer to last long. Overall, I am pretty impressed with these pro mineral makeup products from Poise; I can finally enjoy professional quality makeup even on days when I want to use mineral makeup and take a break from traditional makeup!

  1. Ohhh, those look like really promising shadows and cheek colors! Coco looks like it would be great as an eyebrow powder. Have you tried using it that way? :) And those blushers ugh! Peach tones are right up my alley because they look the most flattering on my skintone. :) It's great to see more PRO products coming to the Philippines because the make up industry has been booming here for quite a while, and this way, make up artists (and enthusiasts) can have more options! :)

  2. I've swatch poise and I can't believe with the intensity of their pigmentation. I swear a little goes a long way. P.S. I've been lemming on Ritz

  3. I have tried The Body Shop Mineral Foundation and Blush On way back nung nagwowork pa ko. Ngayon kase ay full time mom na ko. Matagal siyang maubos kase nga, itataktak mo pa yung excess sa mineral brush mo bago mo iapply sa face at cheeks mo. So konti lang talaga ang magagamit mo. Super pigmented ang color. Anyway, I like the shade of Venice in you.
