 THE VERDICT:

Lucky Chouette, as I have discovered, is a Korean label designed by various Korean fashion designers. Their clothes mimic Korean street style with western influences, as evident in their heavy use of plaid, mesh, and knit; their partnership with Laneige lets them get in touch with their K-Pop influences more in this super cute collection called Laniege X Lucky Chouette.

LANEIGE X LUCKY CHOUETTE MAKEUP COLLECTION IN DETAIL

This collection features 9 lip colors, two bases, and one complexion highlighter featuring the character ambassadors, owls Bella Chouette and Vely Chouette.

Here is the face collection; Laneige's best- selling cushion compact gets dressed up by Lucky Chouette; the Pink compact is BB Cushion Whitening and the Black compact is BB Cushion Pore Control for oily skin; in the middle is the Multi-Face Palette.

BB Cushion Pore Control features a cute pattern on the cushion!

I have gathered that the cushion come in 2 shades only: 13 Ivory and 21 Beige. The darkest is still too light for my skin tone; it would've been nice if there are shades for warmer skin!

BB Cushion Compact Pore Control yields light to medium coverage and sets into a semi- matte finish; it can minimize the appearance of light discolorations, but needs the help of a concealer for heavier ones.

Multi- Face Palette is a highlighter compact with multiple shades.

Serum Drop Tint is a collection of tinted lip color. It comes in 9 shades.

The applicator is a semi- diamond shaped, medium- sized wand that pretty much fits all lip shapes snuggly.

Bare skin

One layer of BB Cushion Pore Control

Coverage is light to medium and it's obviously light for my skin tone; finish is semi- matte and I noticed that it stalls oil once it sets.

BB Cushion Pore Control set with powder

Staying power is pretty good; it takes about 3 hours before my T-Zone oils up provided that I set it with a good setting powder. Coverage is lightweight and feels nice and fresh on the skin; nothing heavy, cakey, or clogging despite the semi- matte finish.

Multi-Face Palette applied on the corner of the eye, cheek bones, and brow bone

This highlighter produces a nice, natural sheen and doubles as an eyeshadow palette too; a wash of the highlighter on the lids will lift the eyes instantly. I like the blue powder in the palette as it helps neutralize any discoloration. It's just a bit too steep for a highlighter considering the many good ones out there that are more affordable or equally priced, but if you're into the cute factor and handy packaging, this is for you then.

A pink- red shade.

This is a youthful kind of red, perfect for teens and for creating ombre lip looks.

SASSY GIRL

Medium red.

A casual, everyday red.

MARILYN RED

Medium deep Red.

A sexy kind of Red. If Cheeky Cheery is for teens, Sassy Girl is for day, Marilyn Red is for night or any special occassion.

CORAL BEACH

Warm Coral.

A warm skin- complementing Coral shade.

URBAN CORAL

Red- coral.

A sexier, deeper counterpart of Coral Beach.

BITE ME

Berry red shade.

A juicy color reminiscent of Strawberries.

MISTY ROSE

Rosy red.

A classic red shade with a rosy appeal.

FUNKY DREAM

A rosy pink shade.

I find that this shade fakes a juicy, pink lip look when it comes off and leaves a tint! Pretty!

RUNWAY PINK

Hot Pink.

A bright Pink that's perfect for summer!

The tints have a soft, cushion- like, moisturizing feel; it's like a mash- up of gloss, lip balm, and lip cream, but never feels heavy. The tints come off completely after a meal, but leaves a tint and the moisturizing factor stays for hours.

To make the most out of Serum Drop Tint, leave the product on for a couple of minutes to allow the tint to stain the lips.

You can even create multiple lip looks in one go with these tints!

Overall, this is a super cute collectible collection and I would recommend Serum Drop Tint and BB Cushion Compact Pore Control. A must- have for cute makeup lovers!
