It breaks my heart every time I scroll my newsfeed on Facebook and see the growing plastic problem in the world and how a solution seems to be lightyears away from happening.

But there's always the light in the tunnel: there is a solution and it can happen. It all starts with making conscious choices and brands offering conscious choices; it's a two way street. Good to know that the total sustainable revolution is starting now with brands like Love, Beauty, and Planet, one of the modern beauty brands that's leading the revolution.

Love, Beauty, and Planet is by Unilever and was launched in the US in 2017; it has since then started expanding into other countries and this year, in the Philippines.

Here's the starter line- up:

Love, Beauty, and Planet Murumuru Butter and Rose, Argan Oil and Lavender, and Tea Tree and Vetiver Shampoo and Conditioner.

Love, Beauty, and Planet Murumuru Butter and Rose, Argan Oil and Lavender, and Tea Tree and Vetiver Conditioner

Love, Beauty, and Planet Tea Tree and Vetiver and Murumuru Butter and Rose Body Wash

Love, Beauty, and Planet Argan Oil and Lavender and Murumuru and Rose Body Lotion

Murumuru Butter and Rose promises delicious, glowing skin and hair.

Tea Tree and Vetiver is a refreshing blend that revitalizes the body and hair.

Finally, Argan Oil and Lavender is a soothing, calming skin and hair refresher.

How sustainable is this brand, really? the products are primarily made with plant- based, natural ingredients. The products are also formulated to be easy rinse to help reduce at least 10 seconds of shower use; it may not seem like a lot, but collectively and regularly, it amounts to millions of gallons that can be used for drinking.

The biggest issue has always been packaging; how's does LBP solve his? The packaging is recycled; in other countries, Unilever has set up collection facilities for consumers to surrender packaging in order for them to be recycled. According to Unilever, they have partnered with collection facilities in the Philippines for consumers to take part in recycling.

The launch was graced by Bianca King, a sustainability advocate. In her words, she advises everyone to try to make conscious choices everyday to help reduce waste; it's a hard step, but doable.

Before the event ended, we were asked to make a pledge for the environment; my advocacy is to  be mindful and most importantly, to EDUCATE and INSPIRE; I believe that it all starts while young and that education is the answer to solving pressing environmental issues starting with the smallest unit of society: the community. I also love to inspire my followers through my own actions by donating to environmental charities; because I want to show everyone that you don't have to have millions or to be famous to make a difference.
