THE VERDICT:

I’ve always wanted an orange lippie. Morange would be the best orange lippie to pick up from MAC, but it seemed too dark for my taste when I tried it on. Morange also has a tendency to look red- orange on me. I want a juicy, bright orange lippie.

I’ve read nice reviews about Good to Go. It’s shockingly orange, and a great neon orange shade for tanned skin tones. So there goes Good to Go in my wish list.

And now, I present to you Good to Go.

The Pro Longwear lip crèmes come in cylindrical tubes. It’s a refreshing break from the bullet- shaped classic MAC lipstick tubes.

Good to go is described by maccosmetics.com as a "loudmouth orange". Indeed, it screams "Hey look at me" when worn. But I'm pretty sure you'll get "Hey there, gorgeous!" as the reply. :)

The consistency of the lip crème is soft and creamy. The finish can be compared to MAC’s Amplified Creme formula. It provides a lip balm- like moisture while giving off an intense colour pay- off.

The lip crèmes dry up to a matte finish. Staying power is indeed long lasting. I only had to retouch the lippie once. However, the color can turn blotchy, depending on how much you use your lips. Blotching is more evident on bright hued lipsticks. Make sure that you slough your lips with a lip scrub or apply lip balm before using the lipstick. But the color does stay true even if it becomes patchy after long hours of wear.

At last, the search for a juicy, bright orange lippie has come to an end. Good to Go is perfect for tanned/ dark skinned ladies. It stands out, but it doesn’t wash me off. Statement lips in neon colours are so in this summer. I love summer! It warrants you to be more playful with colours!

And the rest of this entry is me, camwhoring with my neon orange lippie. Strangely, it seems orange red on the pictures. Believe me, I’ve tried different kinds of lighting and shades that I could think of, but the colour appearance in the pictures is the same. The most accurate colour is the lip swatch posted above. Please refer to it if you want to see what Good to Go looks like in actual.

Don’t shy away from the shocking orange colour if you happen to see Good to go in your next MAC store visit. Believe me, it is absolutely wearable. With Good to Go, you’ll always be good to go (pun intended)!

  2. bibzki: hi there! thanks for reading. It appears oddly red- orange on pics. But in actual, it's a neon orange shade. Morange is a hotter orange compared to this. :)

As for lime crime, I think it has tangerine undertones in it. It's a tropical shade of orange for me. It's shocking, but nowhere near neon. :)
