NON- COMEDOGENIC
- Non- comedogenic is also known as 'non- occlusive'. It is a term applied to products that do not block pores, therefore reducing the incidence of pimples. Non- comedogenic products are good for those who have serious acne problems. However, non- comedogenic products may contain high doses of Salicylic Acid and Retinol (popularly known as Vitamin A), both of which, when taken in excessive doses, can harm and make skin extra sensitive. Facial washes and creams are usually turned into non- comedogenic products.

PARABEN- FREE
- Paraben is used as an extender for facial creams, moisturizers, and cosmetics. These products help extend the shelf life of a product by preventing the growth of mold, bacteria, and mildew. However, a major movement in the cosmetic industry aims to permanently rule out Paraben as a major cosmetic and product ingredient because it has been linked to diseases such as Breast Cancer. If you have a history of cancer, you may opt to choose Paraben- Free products to help reduce the risk of activating your cancer cells.

MINERAL OIL- FREE
- Mineral oils are widely used in lotions, creams, and facial cleansers. However, Mineral Oil is listed as a 'Comedogenic Substance' in Dermatology literature. But recent studies have proven that a purified and high- grade mineral oil is now considered as non- comedogenic. Supermarket cosmetic oils are best examples of mineral oils.

TALC- FREE
- Talc has been used for ages as a face mattifier. However, studies have proven that Talc contains asbestos- like fibres that's linked to breast, pulmonary, and ovarian cancer. Mineral make- ups are Talc- free.
