THE VERDICT:
As someone who loves multitasking products, one thing that I have long wished for is for a local beauty brand to release an affordable makeup line that is infused with SPF to support my skin care routine and to make sure that my skin’s protected from the sun just in case I forget to apply SPF. (which I always do, unfortunately)
Thankfully, Ever Bilena just did it with Daily Dose, an everyday makeup collection that is infused with SPF-from base, to color, to lip makeup, and even the setting spray!
Ever Bilena Daily Dose is an spf- infused makeup line comprising a skin tint, pressed powder, dewy cheek balm, peptide lip care, daily primer, and setting spray.
The Skin Perfecting Tint (P395, 25g) is a lightweight, buildable SPF with a radiant finish and spf 40 pa+++, plus hydrating and antioxidant properties for radiant, healthier- looking skin; it comes in 9 shades.
L-R: Daily Dose Dewy Balm, The Flawless Filter, The Skin Perfecting Tint, and The Power Powder
Daily Dose Dewy Balm (P249, 7.5g) is a creamy, buildable overall complexion color with a pigmented yet dewy finish. It has SPF 50 pa++ and can be used on the eyes, lips, and cheeks, and comes in three shades.
The Flawless Filter (P395, 30g) is a sunscreen and primer in one. It has spf 60 pa++ for maximum protection and the hydrating, smoothing formula not only keeps makeup intact, but helps minimize fine lines too.
The Power Powder (P395, 5.5g) is a pressed powder with a soft, cloud- like texture and light to medium coverage.
My shade in the skin tint is Oriental and Dune for the powder
The skin tint has an emulsion- like texture; it’s pretty opaque for a skin tint for someone who’s idea of a skin tint is truly sheer and ala-Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer- like, but at least it doesn’t feel heavy; it’s just that it has more coverage. It’s quite easy to blend and has a very manageable white cast despite the heavy SPF.
The pressed powder has a slightly creamy texture, which gives you a little more coverage; pair it up with the skin tint and you get medium to full coverage that still somehow feels light. I like the powder because it has coverage and feels dewy but looks matte at the same time; my aging skin actually likes it. But if you have very oily skin though, it might look a bit patchy if you apply it using the dabbing technique so better apply using a brush for a lighter, more gradual coverage.
The setting spray has a nice, hydrating finish and does not feel dry and too matte; in fact, it gives a slightly dewy finish. I just hope that the atomizer will be improved.
The Dewy Balm in Stardust
This complexion color has a smooth, creamy texture and despite that, it yields a semi- sheer, buildable coverage and finishes off as dewy on the skin. I actually like that it’s not too pigmented because it’s easier to blend on the skin. It’s not long- lasting so better prep it with primer and seal with powder.
The Peptide Lip Care in La Vie
One of my favorites from Daily Dose is the lip care because it has a pretty finish and feels hydrating, but without the heaviness and stickiness. La Vie is my favorite shade!
Staying power for all the products is moderate and best for normal, dry, to semi- oily skin types, while very oily skin types may need to blot often or just wear a stronger primer underneath and set your makeup with a fixing spray as the final touch.
This is a great and Philippine- apt makeup collection by Ever Bilena because the products are not only suited to our weather, it also helps promote daily SPF wear too.
Have you tried Ever Bilena Daily Dose? What are your favorites and what’s your verdict?
