Here's an initial review on Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Mineral Face Powder in Sand Beige

THE VERDICT:

I don't like Mineral Make- up. I think they're overrated, overpriced, and they provide blah coverage. I tried a few when it was still booming, but I never really liked them. And to top it all off, they all came in loose form.

So I never really joined the Mineral Make- Up sensation. In fact, when I heard my own mother raving about her MMUs, I plainly couldn't agree with her. Because I just can't understand what's with MMU!

Well, according to the law of the universe, "What you resist persists". Lo and behold, I received a Mineral Make Up pressed powder. And I find it funny that I am raving about it now.

To cut to the chase, I am going to say that I am a convert. I didn't really give MMU another chance after its first days in the market and have branded them too much, too soon. MMUs have evolved consistently and have adapted greatly to the needs and wants of women in their make- up.

Physicians Formula is one of the "Green" make- up brands in the planet. Their products are cruelty- free, almost chemical- free, and packaged in recycled cardboards and boxes. Sensitive- skinned people would delight in this make- up line, especially in the powders. It's formulated sans Talc, Fragrance, and Paraben.

Packaging is made of plastic, so do not drop this one! You might break the whole thing!

It has an extra compartment for the face brush. Why a brush instead of a sponge? Because powders are best applied with brushes. Brushes yield a soft and natural finish to your complexion.

The powder is made of synthetic bristles, so it's kinda' scratchy. I use my Charm powder brush or Lumiere stippling brush for application.

The powder is a beautiful marbleized beige shade with heavy yellow undertones.

Here's the powder when unblended.

It gives my skin a sheer finish whilst still concealing minor marks and discolorations. It provides great coverage too even if worn alone. That's pretty amazing for a mineral powder! It also keeps me looking fresh all day because it can keep my oilies at bay for 6 hours straight! Sometimes, I don't have to retouch the powder anymore and would just use an oil blotting paper to wipe some of my oilies away. Amazingly, my face still looks THIS fresh even after 6 hours!

I heard through the grapevine that Physicians Formula is closing down. I wonder if this is true? I hope it's not! I may have found one of the best finishers on this planet and I will definitely buy this again once I finish this compact and my Alison Raffaele finisher.

If you're wondering where you can get this amazing finisher, visit Tamera Online because they are selling Physicians Formula make- up. So who and what is Tamera Online?

I recall that Tamera Online is one of the first internet- based cosmetic retailing sites in the country. Founded by a beauty queen, Ms. Tamera Marie Szijarto (Ms. Earth 2004), Tamera Online retails foreign cosmetics that aren't available locally. Brands that can be found in Tamera Online are Benefit, Neutrogena, Physician's Formula, Coastal Scents, Hard Candy, and Urban Decay to name a few.

It's my first time to use Physicians Formula. Any brand users out there? Let me know what product should I try next! :)
