I like pricey makeups, but I also have my drugstore favorites! Here's my top three:
REVLON
- To me, Revlon is perhaps the most sophisticated drugstore brand out there. It's also a very decent brand: Decent packaging, decent products, decent price, and I'm quite impressed on how they were able to modernize the brand without sacrificing its classic appeal.
ESSENCE COSMETICS
- It's a new and strong player in the field. The main reason why I'm very fond of Essence Cosmetics is because they were able to combine two of the desired characteristics in a makeup brand: Cheap yet Great.
MAYBELLINE
Because I love their mascara. Enough said! Well not only that, of course-I guess it's just one of those brands that you can't help but purchase just because it has been a part of your growing up years. And holy schmoly, I didn't know they have great lipsticks!
How about you? What are your top three drugstore makeup brands?

ReplyDeleteRevlon, Maybelline, L'Oreal. From Revlon, my favorite is the Colorstay foundation for Combi/Oily Skin and the lip butters. From Maybelline, I love the color sensational lipsticks. From L'Oreal, I love using their eye cream.

I've stopped using Maybelline after I found out they still test on animals :(
ReplyDeleteHi Martha, Just like you I love Maybeline mascaras, they're cheap but really good! Another drugstore makeup that I love is Sleek eye shadows, they're ridiculously highly pigmented and cheap. For local brand it has to be Fanny Seranno makeup, specially their eyeliner and foundation powder.
ReplyDeletemy top three.. careline hbc and everbilena
ReplyDeleteI totally agree! :) Could you make a local version? Your top 3 local drugstore make brands. :) That would help a lot. Thanks!

ReplyDeleteHi girls! thanks for sharing and yes, I'll do a local version too! :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with Maybelline and Revlon. Haven't tried enough of Essence to reach a solid verdict. I've tried their eyeliner pot and synthetic haired brush, and the brush is quite sturdy. I've moved on to a different liner since, but I'm still using the brush again and again. It withstands lots of deep cleansing rituals.
ReplyDeleteThe third brand is probably In2It, IMHO. They honestly don't get enough mentions! Their shadows stay on all day, and their colourshine lipstick reminds me of Revlon lip butters, actually. I've also tried powder foundation, blush, and lip gloss. All good stuff at excellent prices.
Let me know what you think of this post! :)
