EOTD: Catniss Everdeen Catching Fire Eye Makeup + Get The Look

I saw Hunger Games last week courtesy of PLDT and Nuffnang Philippines. I wasn't a huge fan of the first version, but after seeing Jennifer Lawrence's fab performance in Silver Lining's Playbook, I couldn't wait for Catching Fire because I wanna see her act again!

Catching Fire was a pretty long movie. If I'm not mistaken, it's around 2 hours. By the middle part of the film, I was beginning to feel its length already, but things have changed and I got more interested than ever when the movie arrived to this:

Enter Presidential Party at the Capitol scene, where Katniss  Everdeen, the girl on fire, arrived with Peeta in her sultry, red eye makeup. I really liked the concept, and I loved it even more when I got a glimpse of what it really looked like when she had close up shots: The lids were sparkling with intense red glitter. Right then and there, I knew what to do with my BYS Glitter Creme Makeup!

When I got home, I immediately recreated the look! Check out the products I used to create Katniss Everdeen's eye makeup after the break!

EYES:

Bobbi Brown Matte Powder Blush in Berry
BYS Glitter Creme in Cherry
Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Liner in Black
Eye Of Horus Eye Liner in Black
Majolica Majorca Jeweling Eyes Eye Liner in Pearl
Missha False Eyelashes
All Belle Lash Glue

STEP 1: Using a blender brush, shade your lids with red or hot pink eyeshadow/blush.

STEP 2: Line your eyes. I personalized the cat eye part of the look and went for wispy flicks instead of connecting eye lines, as featured on Katniss' photo.

STEP 3: Add a touch of white eyeliner in the middle of the black lines to lift your eyes.

STEP 4: Now here's the difference maker: BYS Glitter Creme. This pure glitter creme eyeshadow will help you achieve Katniss' glittering, smoldering eyes easily. Unlike loose powder glitter, you just swipe it on and style it according to your liking-no help needed from gel liners or cream eyeshadows! You just need a wet/dry eyeshadow brush or concealer brush to apply this product efficiently. You can also use Q-tips.

STEP 5: Apply black eye liner on your entire lower lash line then top off with false eyelashes.

The final look

On my lips: Revlon Lip Butter in Creme Brulee

May the odds be ever in your favor today! :)

  9. Galing... That glittery eyeshadow from BYS looks great! I hope they don't fall out... but I think if you're wearing a long lasting primer, they would really stick...

  10. Juvy: Thanks! I like the second HG movie better than the first one. :D

    Hazel: Thanks! :)

Leilani: Awww, thanks for the effort! :D

Rhain: It works better if on top of primer or cream eyeshadow. :) It won't stick so well on powder eyeshadows. :)

Raisie: Yes dear, as long as you have the right products. :)

Ravene: LOL! Me too, but in events haha :D

    Winnie: Or costume parties! :D
