Bobbi Brown Powder Blush in Berry Review

Here's a review on Bobbi Brown Powder Blush in Berry.

THE VERDICT:

If you have deep tan borderline dark skin tone, the best Pink blush for you is in the shades of Red. No, you didn't read that incorrectly. If your skin tone goes deeper, the shades of your makeup should go deeper as well to complement the warmth of your skin tone. So what's deeper than Pink, but still resembles a natural flush? Red!

However, I'm not talking about bright reds or maraschino reds, unless you want to look like a clown. I'm referring to reds with a berry undertone because the latter will neutralize the brightness of the former and make it appear like it's just your natural flush, but better. I've got a neat suggestion and it's Bobbi Brown's blush in Berry.

It's basically a matte blush and I've reviewed a couple before like THIS ONE.

Swatches after the break!

Berry is described as a muted berry shade, but it seems red-berry to me.

This color could scare you out of your wits because it's really intense, but with an airy hand, light strokes, and a blush brush with very fine bristles at the tip like Charm's Retractable Blush Brush, you can work this shade and get a soft, warm pink-red-berry finish. 'Cuz of its intensity, I believe you can use it as an eyeshadow too. I also bet that this shade will pop on alabaster skin tone, when bright and even warm pink blushes don't seem to appear. It's not a shade for everyone, but if you want a really intense blush shade and again, you have dark skintone, this is for you!

  5. The color on this blush does look intense but it still looks good on you! This might not be for me as I prefer lighter colors on my cheeks.

Allyzon: If you're going for Bobbi brown, go for the lighter colors (not something like this) so you'll get your money's worth because you'll end up liking the purchase. :)

Winnie: Yeah, or practice with a cheaper one first. :)
