Nina Ricci La Tentacion De Nina EDT: Give in To Your Cravings

For the first time, a fragrance is inspired by a macaron and a macaron is inspired by a fragrance-it's like saying you're in Maldives and Amanpulo at the same time--this is the imagery that came to mind when Nina Ricci announced their new fragrance made in partnership with none other than the world- famous Macaron artisans, Ladurée. Capital YUMMEH!

Macarons and perfumes-they complete me. In fact, they were enough to make me brave the storm last Tuesday to attend the official launch of this new Nina Ricci fragrance in the Philippines. At Poetry and Prose cafe, we reveled in hors d' oeuvres, tea, and a whole lot of macarons (why of course!) plus lingered in the tempting, succulent aroma of La Tentacion De Nina, the new limited edition fragrance of the house of Nina Ricci. Let me share this sweet, sweet news with you after the cut!

La Tentacion De Nina EDT is an irresistible fruity-floral gourmand fragrance: it is crowned with citrusy Bergamot at the top notes, the heart is layered with tangy notes of Raspberry, Almond, Lemon, Bulgarian Rose Absolue, collectively called as the Nina Macaron accord, and the base is a fluff of Bourbon Vanilla, Sandalwood, and White Musk. Taking after the bottles of L'Elixir, La Tentacion De Nina is housed in an apple- shaped flacon, a symbol of seduction-this time though, it's even more inviting because it's in bright pink and drenched in gold-even Eve won't think twice about picking this fruit! (I wouldn't!)

Said to be the more mature evolution of the previous L'Elixir versions, La Tentacion De Nina is overall seductively sweet, fun, and flirtatious yet sensible. For me, it resembles the lady who knows how to treat herself and does so very well!

The star note of this fragrance, the Nina Macaron is exclusively made by Vincent Lemains, head chef at Ladurée. The Nina Macarons are available for a limited time only as well as the fragrance. Oh, I would kill just to sink my teeth in those divine macarons-actually, any Ladurée macaron will do because I love it to bits!

In this video, head perfumer Oliver Cresp and head chef for Ladurée, Vincent Lemains talk more about this "Crispy Fragrance".

Back to the event!

Tower of seduction! Oh I would love to have this display in my room! :D

Prestige Brand Philippines, the local distributor of La Tentacion De Nina held a mini game for us-we were asked to guess at least three notes of the fragrance-I only got two correct answers though and the incorrect one was Macaron-it's really part of the composition, but I didn't know that it was broken down into separate notes and not called as such. :) Oh well!

Tea, talk, macarons, and inspirations-thanks for the lovely afternoon, girls!

La Tentacion De Nina EDT is available in 50ml (P3,900.00). It is now available in all Rustan's department stores. Let me know what you think about it when you get a chance to try it! :)
