THE VERDICT:

It takes a certain degree of meticulousness to groom brows that's why I've always admired women who don't leave the house without a pair of billion dollar brows because to me, it's a sign of dedication: it shows how a woman pays attention to every single detail in her life, no matter how small-the way she deals with little, seemingly trivial things shows how she treats her life overall!

Oh, where were we? Ah yes, BROWS! With that meticulousness, of course you need good products to come up with beauty arches that spell S-U-C-C-E-S-S. My preference for beauty products has evolved over the years (thanks to Beauty Blogging that has contributed so much to opening my mind) so right now, I say, it doesn't matter if it's luxurious or expensive as long as it works, and what works for me (and my brows) right now is Happy Skin's Eye Love View Pencil and Marker Eyebrow Duo. It's barely 800 pesos, but it gives you a brow look that just screams GLAMOROUS!

HAPPY SKIN EYE LOVE VIEW PENCIL AND MARKER EYEBROW DUO IN BROWN IN DETAIL

Eye Love View is a multi- tasking brow product that can give you soft or dramatic brows in just a flick. Formula contains moisturizing Argan Oil to keep your brows tamed and nourished all day.

Ingredients

Looking for a new brow products or you simply want to have fantastic- looking brows? Then click READ MORE! :D

Eye Love View is a 2-in-1 brow product. On one end, you get a liquid marker with a pointy applicator. I like its shape because the body is thick enough to draw a bold line (great for mapping brows!) and the sharp tip lets me extend my brow tails naturally.

TIP: For bolder- looking brows, lay the brush on its side and start lining. To fill in gaps within the brow, use the pointy tip and draw hair- like lines in a wispy motion.

On the other end, you get an automatic pencil for intensifying your brows' color-works great in mapping too because it features a small, rounded tip.

The pencil is a coffee brown shade, while the liquid marker is a nutty brown shade-I actually like that the shades aren't the same because it gives me a choice to play around with colors and it will work well for my hair should I decide to go dark brown or light brown, the only hair colors that I always go for.

The pencil gives medium to heavy coverage-coverage can be built, but it needs to be warmed up to get it going. The liquid marker yields light to medium coverage-consistency is pretty sheer so there's minimal risk in getting stark lines in case you have a heavy hand. The only thing is, this product comes in one shade combination only and may not fit those with very light hair colors.

HAPPY SKIN EYE LOVE VIEW PENCIL AND MARKER EYEBROW DUO IN BROWN IN ACTION

Bare brow

This is how I use this product:

I use the marker when mapping-the sheerness of it prevents me from having that drawn-on brows.

After mapping, I use the pencil to fill in gaps and enhance my brows' color.

I use a spoolie to blur any sharp lines and for the final touch, I seal my brows with a clear brow gel or a brow mascara to keep tiny hair strands in place.

Eye Love View is not super waterproof, but I find that it gets me through the day with very minimal fading, except when I'm sweating real bad or my face is oiling up more than the usual. I'm quite happy with this product because it gives me the best of both worlds and it isn't expensive at all. And look at the finish-it's so natural overall, product is very easy to use, and feels quite luxurious. I recommend it to anyone who's looking for a brand new brow product to try without hurting their savings!

  1. I hate my eyebrow now... It's super thin and curvy. It gives me a bare look and unwanted focus on my nose which is pango. At first I thought it was an eyeliner. Don't you like gray brow liner?

  2. So that's how it works. I've been wondering about that marker, thinking it would be so bold. Hindi naman pala. I haven't actually tried mapping my eyebrows yet. Just lightly working the pencil in. Will try that though. -Matromao

  3. I always leave my brows bare because I really didn't have the talent on grooming them :( Maybe now it's time for me to try this one, coz I can see that if you have glamorous brow, well everything follows! :)

  4. I think this is a very revolutionary product, it's like having the best of both worlds. One, you have a pointy applicator to accurately shape your brows and on the other, you have a filler that looks very sheer and natural.

One of my doubts, however, is how much you get for almost 800 pesos? It looks like a thin pencil, and looks like it doesn't have too much space to accommodate product.

This is revolutionary and all, but I will be sticking with my NYX brow powder for now. :)

  5. I bought this one a month ago and it's still with me until now. I love it because it is super easy to apply and it dries easily. It's also easy to remove in case you got it wrong the first time. :)Yun nga lang, di siya waterproof, so be sure to check once in a while. :) But it's okay na for its price.

  8. The best thing about having perfectly shape brows is that it really makes the whole face framed well and it gives you that polishef, perfect, finished look. That's why Im not leaving the house without putting any eyebrow thingy on it. Haha. Way back then, I am hoping and praying that happy skin will developed something for brows, and I heard this product last summer of the year, and at that point, I told to myself that I will get one for myself!! *thanks happy skin for making me feel awesome and important. chaaarr!* :D Back to the product, I bought one last july and yea, as I expected, I love it! It gives me that natural looking brows, and I feel like I am like a superstar whenever Im wearing it! It exceeds my expectation, and I am saving up to buy another one. Though I am not using the liner so much, I find its liner perfect to put on the eyelids! :D Its cute and perfect to wear on the eyes too! Hihi.

  9. I like that the product is dual-purpose kaso po since liquid pen yung isang end, hindi po ba siya prone to drying? :)

  11. I think 799 is a reasonable price knowing that this product comes with a marker and pencil all in one. I love how the marker doesn't come off as too dark and bold. I haven't really tried mapping before, but this product looks easy to use I would definitely give this a try!

  12. Just what I need.. my brows are one of my frustrations lol I am having a hard time putting on browliners, sometimes I put on a lot and made my brows soooo thick that it look so not natural :( I guess, this is the solution.. but kind of expensive, though but, I guess it's worth it :)

  13. I too was a little apprehensive about the brow marker. I was imagining something as strong as eyeliners, haha! The effect looks really good on you Martha. I would like to try this for myself sometime!

  14. Looks like Happy Skin's got a good answer to K-Palette's 1 Day Tattoo Eyebrow Pen! I wished it came in another shade though...the shade of the pen seemed to have a red undertone to it (or is it just me? Hahaha). It could have been perfect for drawing fake hair! :)

  16. Teri: Gray is good for those with black hair. I dye my hair brown almost always so i always opt for a brown brow liner. :)

Katrina and thegirlymedic: Yep, looks like it! The strength of k-palette though is they have more shades to choose from. Yep, undertone is a little red so it will suit those with dark brown to golden medium brown hair. :)

Becomingsleek: Yep, the word 'marker' made it seem too pigmented for brows. Happy to know that it isn't after all. Let me know how you like it, okay? :)

AishaKith and Betsy Paradise: Yes, it's a little expensive, but it works really well plus you get two products in one. :)

    Rita: hear hear!

    Eddielli: Welcome. :)

Jona: Nope because both ends come with their very own caps. :)

Aegeanna: Glad you're loving it! :D Great tip on using the marker as eyeliner. :)

Abegaill: Agree with the not-so-waterproof claim, but I do find it lasts with decent fading-just don't get soaked in the rain with it on!

Shary: Thanks for sharing your thoughts. That's an acceptable argument-I think it's priced as such due to its versatility and the fact that you get two entirely different products that you can play around with, depending on your mood, plus it is made in Japan. :)

Sincere: Indeed! How you do one thing is how you do everything. :)

Foodworldme: Mapping is my not-so-secret secret to achieving well- defined brows. :)

  18. Of course, it's a brow post so I always make sure that I am up to date! From brow pencil to brow mascara then brow powder, I have tried different products on my brows and brow powder for me looks definitely natural. I don't usually have that sharp lines defining my brows because I'm afraid it'll look fake on me. So the marker is kinda scary to try, but oh well, as long as it involves the brows COUNT ME IN!!! ;)
