Imporefection
Aside from genetics and age, external factors such as
heat, sweat, and humidity are some of the leading causes of enlarged pores. It
seems like whatever we do, we’re all susceptible to having enlarged pores.
Having large pores doesn’t necessarily mean they get bigger overtime-pores can
only expand or shrink and the reason why people call them ‘large’ is because
they become more pronounced than the usual. (Now that’s a quick fact for you!)
Is this enough reason to panic? Not really,
especially if you’re properly educated that you can shrink them back, but this
doesn’t mean you can just slack off on it, which leads me to the reasons why
enlarged pores inhibit you from becoming your best beautiful self.
Having enlarged pores is a sneaky condition: At
first, it seems harmless, but eventually, you’ll notice that your face gets
oilier than the usual, blackheads and whiteheads seem to recur often, you’re
breaking out more than the usual, and your face just looks so rough and your
makeup almost always seems patchy-all these can result from having enlarged
pores. When your pores are wider than the usual, makeup and dirt can easily
penetrate and cause riot underneath in the form of a zit! By the way, enlarged
pores can worsen as you age and if you have oilier skin, you’re more prone to
this skin condition too!
I’m not saying though that you’re ugly if you have enlarged
pores-my point is, you can be your best beautiful with the help of skin care
products that target this problem and if you can improve yourself, why not,
right? Don’t lie-I know you’ll agree when I say that we’d all love to have
smooth skin always if possible, eh?
How do you shut enlarged pores and prevent all these
skin horrors from happening? Here are two suggestions from Olay. Click READ
MORE.
1. TONE YOUR
SKIN
I’ve used to think that Toner is unnecessary,
until I had enlarged pores and witnessed how this product creates a difference.
For years, alcohol- based toners have been the top remedy for enlarged pores,
but unfortunately, not all people can tolerate this ingredient. There are
gentler toners nowadays that address enlarged pores without drying out the skin
such as Olay Total Effects Pore Minimizing Toner, one of Olay’s newest products
that addresses enlarged pores- this toner is formulated to remove surface dead
skin to reveal new, fresher, and more even skin (FYI: Dead skin cells attach
themselves to the edges of your pores, causing them to widen). The nice thing
about this toner is it just feels like water: it’s so mild that even those who
get irritated by the slightest cooling sensation can tolerate this product!
USE MAKEUP THAT ADDRESSES ENLARGED PORES
There are makeups that promise to conceal
enlarged pores, but there are those that aim to treat it such as Olay’s Total
Effects Pore Minimizing CC Cream, another product from their new Pore Minimizing Line.
This oil-free, everyday base has a light, breathable texture that promises to
treat enlarged pores and yields an airbrushed finish to give you the illusion
of smoother skin. It comes in two shades, Light and Medium.
Use these products together with twice-a-week scrubbing
and good food choices, and you’ll be able to score smooth, ‘poreless’ skin in
no time. If you’ve got smooth skin, your makeup just looks better (heck, you
may even not feel the need to put on makeup everyday), your skin clearly shows
that it’s in good health, and of course, you’ll feel much better. Don’t let
enlarged pores ruin your look and reveal your #BestBeautiful self by using
products that address these issues such as Olay Pore Minimizing Toner and Olay
Pore Minimizing CC Cream.

Oooh, they have CC Cream na rin! But I think I'll pass, I'm interested on the toner because I've been looking for facial washes and toners that can help me minimize my pores. Will definitely check this out!
ReplyDeleteAre these new products from Olay? :) Another breakthrough product from them. As for me, I don't have much problems naman with my pores, but still, I take care of it. If ever the time comes that my pores get huge, I would try these products and witness its effectiveness. :)
ReplyDeleteI've swatched the CC creams, and they look nice. Glad to see that KC Concepcion has signed up to be the new endorser. (Sad to hear about her Granny's passing, though.) --Matromao
ReplyDeleteI might try this! I have noticed my pores becoming larger these days and my makeup looks off. :( Thank you for this!
ReplyDeletei'd try cc cream, but unfortunately i always go back to bb creams...i guess that's how it works with different type of skins. But just like my pores i do minimize it with strong ingredients in a toner. i always feel how it tightened whenever i'm using it. it's from kiehl's expensive but it's all worth it. ;)
ReplyDeleteHello Martha, I'm not sure if I already told you this but some of your photos look too warm? Its's the same on all my devices.
ReplyDeleteNoticed it in your most recent post, the plum/ purple lipstick. I have a few of those lipsticks and the colors doesn't quite look like how they do IRL.
Just thought you should know :)
Anyway, I think we're using the same camera.
Rae: Hey thanks for bringing this up! For this particular post, yes because the overall color of the Olay products are affecting the photos, I've noticed, It doesn't help too that Blogspot's automatically tweaking the photos once uploaded! :/ Will try to fix this. I'm using a Sony NEX5 camera, btw. :)
ReplyDeleteAs for the lippies, I checked it out in my iPad and all the PCs and laptops in the house and they look okay. Mind sending me a photo?
Julia: Oh glad to hear that you're loving Kiehl's, just like me. WHich particular toner is this? :)
Foodworldme: Same! I like her. :)
Abegaill: Yup, they're the newest!
Stacie: You're welcome :)
Eena: Enjoy! :)
