THE VERDICT:
Bobbi Brown's simple and true principle in makeup is also reflected in her skin care products, like this eye cream: instead of bombarding it with out-of-this world ingredients, she simply kept it hydrating-because hydration is the only thing you might just need to stall aging for a few more years.
This Hydrating Eye Cream is what I'm head over heels with lately because it soothes and smooths my under eyes for real, and gives my concealer a better finish!
BOBBI BROWN HYDRATING EYE CREAM IN DETAIL
This crowd favorite features a blend of Aloe Vera, Jojoba Oil, Avocado Oil, Squalene, Witch Hazel, and Enriched Mineral Water Blend to keep eyes moisturized, bright, and smooth all throughout the day.
I like how generous the size of the product is plus it's filled to the brim, but…it's in a jar with no spatula. :/ At least its performance makes up for the packaging!
More details about this super hydrating, concealer- friendly eye cream after the cut!
This very emollient eye cream is lightly scented with lavender-I like that it soothes both my senses and skin, although I would not recommend it if you get allergies from anything laced with fragrance. A pea- sized dot can cover both my under eyes and eye lids, and it's fast- absorbing that I sometimes wear it during the day too (if I have more time!). One jar can last you for up to 6 months if used twice a day or maybe a year if you use it once a day-it also depends on how much you take in every use.
Oh, did you know that this product is great to mix with concealers to prevent them from caking and settling into under eye creases during wear? Here's how I work it.
With liquid concealers: I grab my makeup spatula, take a bit of the eye cream and squirt some liquid concealer on top of it, and then I blend both products until they melt into each other.
With cream concealers: I apply a very sheer layer of the eye cream on my under eyes, allow it to settle for 1- 2 minutes, and then I apply cream concealer.
These tips are particularly useful for those who can't seem to find a hydrating concealer!
BOBBI BROWN HYDRATING EYE CREAM IN DETAIL
2 months of using Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream
I have dry skin on my under eye area and it gets even drier when the weather turns cool, but the dryness has been tamed big time when I started using this product, plus the skin on my under eyes became really buttery and smooth that makeup just glides effortlessly and always looks even in there. Formula is gentle and I didn't get rashes on my under eyes, but aside from providing an ample supply of moisture, it doesn't promise to do anything else so if you are dealing with eye bags and dark circles, you will have to use this product with other eye creams/serums that target those problems.
I think this is a for-all-ages eye cream because everyone can use an extra supply of moisture! If you're in your 20's and looking for a basic eye cream that will prevent those premature creases, this is a great product to try! Similarly, if you have dry skin on the under eyes like me and you need a more hydrating eye cream to support your current one, you'll love this product! :)

Currently on the lookout for an eye cream. You didnt put the price but as this is Bobbi Brown Im thinking its expensive. Do you have other mid priced eye creams you can recommend?
ReplyDeleteI saw another Bobbi brown book in NBS and costs around P700+ I want to buy it... Buti it worked well when you mixed with other product. Too bad it doesn't look promising but I believe that continous usage has a huge effect later on.
ReplyDeleteChristine: Oh! Sorry, I forgot to put the price. :) I'ts P2,600.00. Nivea COQ10 is my fave affordable eye cream! :D
ReplyDeleteTeri: It goes without saying with all products, that continuous usage is key to seeing results. This eye cream doesn't do much, I agree, but at the moment, it fits my needs. :)
Another eye cream! :) Not fond of putting eye creams under my makeup. I always put them at night before I sleep. Because that way, I just feel that the eye cream I used is much more kickin in when used at night. Also prefer using it with my finger. :) Love its finish on you! ♥
ReplyDeleteI also put eye creams at night and not under makeups. :) I believe kasi that it would work better if it would be applied alone. :) Before, I've used an eye cream under makeup and it felt and looked so weird. Maybe because the eye cream I used was not suitable for the makeup. :) Anyway, the bobbi brown eye cream seems good. And it looks so creamy and hydrating
ReplyDeleteLet me know what you think of this post! :)
