THE VERDICT:
Before 2015 started, I vowed to be more successful, courageous, persistent, stronger, and more assertive. I think I found the perfect lip color for my goals and my year, and it's Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Dragon Girl. You know what? Maybe I should start this project called "Lipstick Of The Year": Every year, I will have my very own IT lip color just like Pantone having their IT color for each year-sounds like a cool thing to do! :)

Nars Lip Pencils were made to be slimmer and more compact versions of traditional lipsticks. It comes in three finishes: Velvet Matte, Satin, and Velvet Gloss. FYI, Dragon Girl is one of Taylor Swift's (yes, that Blank Space singer) favorite red lipstick shades.

NARS VELVET MATTE LIP PENCIL IN DRAGON GIRL IN ACTION
The moment I wore Dragon Girl, I was like "Whoa, what an empowering shade!" It's the kind of red that's bright, almost neon, and truly fiery that you immediately feel a surge of energy in your veins when you wear it, and it's a great feeling! Another awesome thing about Dragon Girl is it doesn't dry out my lips due to its Vitamin E- enriched formula.
So let me enumerate why Dragon Girl is my official red lipstick for 2015:
1. It's an energizing red.
2. It's rare to find a bright red that doesn't appear irritatingly flashy.
3. I was born in the year of the Dragon and I love Red lipstick, and there couldn't be any more perfect lipstick for me than this.
4. I have developed a liking for Taylor Swift's 'Blank Space' lately. (Does this count?)
I have been wearing this for almost three weeks straight now--I love this babeh-it's now up there in my roster of SuperDuperAwesomesauce Red Lipsticks. Of course I will repurchase!

Nars in Joyous Red! Ever since I got this lipstick I’ve been wearing it every chance I get. I could describe it as a deep, muted, amber red with a semi-matte finish.

Right in time for the Chinese New Year! :) You're right about the Nars Velvet Matte Pencil in Dragon Girl. It doesn't look loud or unnatural. I agree that red is still the best shade to wear because it is closest to the real color of our lips. You achieved a very sophisticated, feminine look! Wow, you gave Dragon Girl an almost perfect rating!

I am a certified swifty! That's why I like red lipstick more than everything else. :) I super love this shade from Nars! Super sexy, it brings out the youth in us. It's not the malanding kind of red. :)

ReplyDeletePersonally, I love the NARS velvet matte lip pencils for the comfortable matte finish in my lips.
I love how these pencils are silky, saturated, and generally perfect when i use it. One swipe and I'm done.
The longer I use it the more beautiful it gets! It stays on my lips for long hours even after I had a meal that's why I love NARS so much.
I had the shade CRuella and I get a lot of compliments every single time I wear it.
I really love that its not like the other lipsticks where I need to re-apply every now and then. I recommend to try out NARS lip pencils ladies!
