Even the strongest, most independent person gets
tired and weak sometimes, thus they need a little boost, a nudge, and a pat on
the shoulder to assure them that they’re going to be fine.
I’d like to think that it’s the same case with
our skin. After some time (let’s say, every 3-5 years), it ages: it loses its
elasticity, smoothness, suppleness, and glow as days go by, therefore it needs
a boost. Olay did (and has been doing) a research on aging and one of their
studies showed that:
“…Olay discovered that women’s skin looks dull, fatigued, and dehydrated as it ages. Skin Cell Energy, as measured by level enzyme of NADP(H) in cells, is high among young people, but, as women get older, Skin Cell Energy declines…Skin Cell Energy allows skin to produce and maintain radiance, firmness and hydration. It affects skin’s ability to fight signs of skin ageing and its ability to absorb anti-ageing treatments…(Source: International study conducted by Beijing Technical Center, Jan 2014)”
Our skin is just like us: it needs a little boost for it to look
beautiful, stay strong, and age gracefully. A sound skin care regimen will help
you achieve these, yes, but what happens if your skin gets used to it?
You boost it.
The journey to a big change begins with small
steps-here are five simple yet effective ways to step up your skin care game
and breathe new life into your skin. Click READ MORE.
5. Shake
Up Your Skin Care Choices
Every month, try to add/change products into your
routine. It could be a new moisturizer, sunblock, or even facial foam. Take out
products that you think don’t serve you because they’re just eating up your
time, taking up unnecessary dresser space, and may keep your tried and tested
products from doing what they’re supposed to do. This tiny change will wake up
your skin because in case you did not know, skin is highly reactive to completely
new and even re-introduced skin care products.
4. Shake Up Your Skin Care Routine
Give yourself a weekly rejuvenating facial in a
trusted derma clinic or incorporate DIY or ready- made masks in your routine. Tweak
your skin care routine every month or 3 months because who knows? Those little
extras might impart a big change to your skin.
3. Eat/Drink Your Skin Care
By this, I meant eat/drink food/beverages that
have the same minerals/vitamins as your skin care products. For example, if you
rely on Vitamin C for skin brightening purposes, eat fruits and veggies rich
with the same vitamin to help clarify your skin even more. You get the drift.
;)
A lot of people can only live on moisturizer and
if you’re part of the group, might as well go for a moisturizer that’s
nutrient- dense and offers various skin care benefits so you can get the best
of all worlds without having to use too much products.
Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream is an
example (remember my trip to Sydney with Olay? I found out about this
moisturizer in that trip): it is a rich yet light cream with intense hydrating,
firming, and lifting properties, thanks to its formula with the highest
concentration of amino-peptide complex (vs. other Olay products), intracellular
fortifier, and is touched with precious marine extracts. It is formulated to
prevent sagging, smooth, soften, and revitalize skin. This product is also said
to be comparable to luxury creams (in fact, it has trumped a bunch of $300+
creams in a test conducted by Olay) and guess what? It’s now available in the
Philippines!
I mean a literal skin care booster. FYI, Skin
Care Boosters are becoming steadily popular nowadays. These products are
typically in light serum form and designed to be mixed with almost all sorts of
skin care products to boost any skin care regimen. How does it do that? By
using one, golden ingredient, a Skin Booster upgrades regular products such as
a plain, hydrating moisturizer and backs up targeted treatments such as serum.
A Skin Booster could increase the efficacy of the products you are currently
using.
Olay
have released their very own booster called Olay Regenerist Miracle Booster
Pre-Youth Essence. This light, watery serum is fast- absorbing and used after
toning and before moisturizer/cream, thicker serums, and spot treatments (if
any). It contains The Golden Amino Peptide, pal-KTTKS, and promises to boost
your skin care routine and enhance your skin care products for skin that looks
up to 10 years younger.
Care for another skin care hack? Use both the Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream and Olay Regenerist Miracle Boost Youth Pre- Essence for double the anti-aging and skin renewal power. Olay said that you will see results in five days such as finer skin texture, lesser lines and wrinkles, and younger- looking skin overall when you use this #MiracleDuo. Now that’s what you call a #MiracleBoost!
So there goes my suggested ways to give your skin
care regimen that much needed boost. As for the two Olay products, the cream is
at P1,499.00 and the serum, at P1,399.00, and they will be available starting
this May 2015 in Lazada they are available now in Lazada (the Miracle Booster is currently on introductory sale!), and soon, in all leading supermarkets, drugstores, and
department stores. Just go to OLAY PHILIPPINES on Facebook for more information
about this product.

regimen? Share them with me!

Everything seems so promising! These will be the products I'm going to include once I decide to switch up my skin care. Though Im still young to use these types of products, still prevention is better than cure. :) Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThanks for this review:) lately Im bit confuse of my skin care regimen. I feel my skin now is having a hard time of the current products Im using . Plan to switch products soon:))
ReplyDeleteThis sounds really promising.. too bad my skin is not quite comfortable using olay.. i hope ul recommend other alternatives ;)
ReplyDeleteI super love Olay products from Day cream to Night cream to CC cream and bodywashes.. I am still using these products =) Will buy these new products, Thanks for the review Marhta =)
ReplyDeletehi ms m! thank you for this awesome tips! sa daming products na lumalabas ngayon sa market (high-end and drugstore one) medyo nalilito na ako hihi, honestly nakakatemp ang mga sales at mga promises ng mga products, sana lahat merong naka-sachet forms para naman may chance matry kung anu talaga ang fifit sa skin (at sa bulsa) -- good thing merong sample room =)
ReplyDeletei have tried olay before (pero yung soap bar and it was true to its promise, nape-prevent nito ang dryness ng balat) and im trying those in sachet creams and it seems they're good plus walang nasasayang, and i keep in mind na it is really best to invest in skincare, i have some stuffs pa na kailangan ma-empty before trying and getting more =)
and i see that duo and they're really tempting to buy..

Hahaha! I can't help but praise your writing skills talaga. Sorry for such a digress. :) You're so laconic and you just use the right word to perfectly describe the product. #BloggerGoals.
Anyways, about that 'boost' you are talking about, I'm still a teenager so I think I don't need it for the meantime. My skin is better when bare since it is really prone to acne. But as time passes by, I may need these products someday, when a girl like me will grow into a lady who needs a boost in her life. ;)
I love the intro too! So true to life. The reason why I use my skin care products up to the last drop is that I am meant to change that product afterwards. I know which products work for me, and I know products that don't. I notice that even products that worked for me at first tend to lessen its effect on me if I use them for more than 3 months. From then on, I started to explore other options. :) I super love the tips you mentioned. I think I can do them all. Well, the derma thing might be more expensive but I think it would really do better to my face. I also use masks or scrubs during weekends. And that Olay combo is such a miracle talaga. If I buy it, I'll let my mom use it too! Para kaming 2 ang makakita sa difference. :) I hope its worth it! Relatively cheaper siya than products from other brands
ReplyDeleteCath: You're welcome! :)
ReplyDeleteAbegaill and Mickey: Thanks! I'm always an advocate of "do whatever is right for you" so if at the moment, you feel you don't need to do anything else aside from what you're currently doing, then don't. Your skin will naturally ask for more help if it needs it. :)
Rhain: Hope you can try it soon! I hope Olay will sell miniatures of these so everyone can try it out. :)
Flexxy: You're welcome. :)
Jeremy: Hope you find the right, new ones. :)
Let me know what you think of this post! :)
