THE VERDICT:

Here's a hair care duo that's making me flip, swish, and whip my hair from side to side lately: Pantene Aqua Pure Shampoo And Conditioner. Why? Because it is so light! My fine, pin- straight hair is having the time of its life lately because of this shampoo and conditioner range that's meant to clean and nourish it without the weight, wax, and grease! :)

PANTENE AQUA PURE SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER IN DETAIL

This revolutionary shampoo and conditioner features Clean Rinse Technology that cleanses hair in an instant and without the weight. It also feature's Pantene's proprietary PRO-V Formula for soft, healthy, and strong hair.

Ingredients, Shampoo

The shampoo contains high amounts of SLES so steer clear most especially if you've just had your hair colored. If you have no problem with SLES, then this will be a very good clarifying shampoo to use to get rid of silicone and oil build- up from your scalp.

Ingredients, Conditioner

PANTENE AQUA PURE SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER IN ACTION

The shampoo has a rich gel texture. It lathers up quickly and generously, rinses off easily, and leaves my hair feeling really clean (no need to do a second round!), albeit dry because of its high SLES content. Not advisable for everyday use, but only during weekends as a clarifying cleanser for those with dry and curly hair.

The conditioner, on the other hand, features a light creme-gel texture. It's prolly one (if not the only) of the lightest conditioners I've ever used and what I like most about this product is despite its seemingly diluted consistency, it conditions hair just as effectively as the thicker Pantene conditioners. I'm in love! It's the PERFECT conditioner for girls with fine hair!

Both products have a mild floral scent.

I love using this duo on warm and humid days or on days when I'm required to commute from one meeting/event to the other because it feels weightless on my hair and head, thus it makes me feel light as well. The weightless consistency also makes hair bouncy, you just can't help but bounce and play with your hair as you walk! :)

Pantene Aqua Pure Shampoo and Conditioner are seriously wonderful for fine, limp, and straight hair because it won't weigh down such hair types. It will also suit semi- thick and wavy hair types. I'm making this line as my staple clarifying shampoo and conditioner!

  1. i have tried this too ms m! (i think it was month of March or April) i saw this from Watsons shelf (hair products new entry) and i was like wow it was clear as water (the shampoo) i havent tried the conditioner yet, so i grab the bottle of that shampoo and yes i like it (madaling maubos, kasi it is bit runny when you open the lid and put some on your palm, di makontrol yung pag-dispense ng product)

it was third from my list of fave shampoo (dove, tresemme then pantene) kung anong available sa market yun yung napupunta sa cart ko hihi.

  2. My dad, who likes to know these things, says shampoo/conditioner compatibility is a matter of water purity. As in the water used in formulating the product. Shampoo daw uses cleaner-than-drinking water and the better water you use, the better it will make your hair feel. Nacurious tuloy ako sa range na 'to because I'm thinking aqua pure pertains to that.

    1. Can I say #Mindblown? Haha! It's always to know about science stuff. :) Maybe this is the reason why my hair feels nice, fresh, and light when I use this product.

  3. Hmmm. Very interesting! I'm currently using Dove hair products and I have dry, thick, course, wavy hair but I do need a clarifying shampoo at times when I can really feel product build up on my hair. This has always caught my eye but I skip it because of the high amounts of SLES it has in it. My hair is dry as it is but I haven't thought of using it as clarifying shampoo. Will check this out. Thanks for this post! :)

  4. Hi Ms. Martha, I used this during my pregnancy last year. When you are pregnant kasi as much as possible iwas ka sa chemicals. This combo keeps my hair healthy kaya blooming ang dating kahit preggy hehehe. Kaso I stopped using this kasi laging OOS sa mga supermarkets but still Pantene pa din ang gamit ko ibang variant nga lang. :)

    1. Yeah, I can't seem to find these specific sizes in every department store I've been to lately as well! I always see the really huge sizes. :p I alternate this product with Pantene 3 Minute Miracle and Pantene Classic. :)

  6. You had me at the "perfect conditioner for girls with fine hair!" I want to try this out too if it's useful for thin and weak hair like mine. So far, I have been happy with Moringa-O as I believe my hair has thicken slightly after a month's usage (I actually bought this because of your review!). I hope you can do more of reviews for hair products, since it's one of my major concerns. Thanks for this review, Martha!

    1. Wow! Great to know that Moringa's been working well on you. :D Did you try the serum? That's my fave. Will review more soon. :)

  7. Currently using it and I'm loving it:) hope it really works on me in the long run. It's a very good alternative to my fave dove because it's easy to rinse and not heavy on the hair too! Love it!

  9. Wow. I can tell from the photo that your hair feels light. Is this the Pantene counterpart for the Dove Oxygen Nourishment? Would you recommend the Pantene Aqua Pure for curly gals like me? :)

    1. Hi venf! Thanks for dropping by. :) Yes, this is it. I would, but as I said, only as a weekly clarifying treatment because it can dry out your hair. Get the conditioner for easier detangling. :)

  11. Gotta try this one too as I have fine hair as well. :) And it looks great! Minsan lang kasi I find Pantene to be not so foamy kaya I'm sometimes hesitant to use it.

    1. This one's foamy. In my experience, Pantene's hair products are actually foamy. :)

  12. I have such thick and unmanageable hair. I am hoping this Pantene line won't dry my locks though. I don't really use Pantene because it tends to turn my scalp flaky even if I use it every other day. But if this is good for weekend use only, I'm good with that. Still sticking to Dove products for weekday use.

  13. I have thick, coarse hair so I had it treated three months ago (Keratin Treatment ek-ek) and I was told that I am to use sulfate-free hair products only, Aside from HHN shampoos, I only use Pantene on my hair. Those SLES are all sulfates right? Maybe I can try this one out next month,

    1. Yes, sulfates. :) Just try it out when you get a go signal from your hair stylist. :)

  14. Hi Martha, I've been thinking of trying Pantene Aqua Pure Shampoo since I got a glimpse of it in the grocery store. I have a very oily scalp (unlike my body skin and lips, huhu). Sobrang bilis mag-oil ng buhok ko kaya kailangan kong mag-shampoo every day (minsan twice a day pa). I've read that the more you shampoo, the oilier your hair gets because of the natural reaction of the oil glands. But I don't have much of a choice kasi pumapasok ako every day and ayaw ko ng greasy feeling ng hindi naka-shampoo. I think a lightweight shampoo will improve my scalp condition somehow :) Because of your 5-star rating of the product, I will definitely purchase a bottle on my next toiletries shopping. Thank you for being a reliable reviewer! - Starr
