THE VERDICT:
True story: I've never owned a Revlon powder blush, EVER so this new product's very much welcome to my big, happy makeup family. Revlon Powder Blush is simply your good ol' classic powder blush!

Revlon's classic powder blush promise to give you a silky flush of color; it is available in 9 skin- enhancing shades.
Ingredients
Blush comes in a square acrylic pan with closure. Brush that comes with it is soft, albeit flimsy. There's also a mirror, although small and I can barely see my face in it, but it's nice to have for moments when you need a mirror.
Oh Baby Pink! is a pale Peach-Pink with a soft matte finish. Texture is pretty silky, it is unscented, and coverage is light to heavy, depending on the shade you have.

Wait, did I really apply blush? LOL. Oh Baby Pink! is too light on me and I need to layer it on twice or three times to get a touch of color.
Color aside, one really nice thing about Revlon's Powder Blush is it's superbly silky that I can't help but stroke the surface. A silky blush is a great buy because it's so easy to blend, sits well on the skin, and to some extent, gives you a more even- looking skin; it's also a good texture for dry skin.
I like the quality of Revlon's Powder blush and I am interested to check out the other colors; this blush is ideal for normal, combination oily/normal, oily, and moderately dry skin types.

I think I need to visit Revlon so that I can try shades darker than that. But is the brush okay to use?

Hey Martha :) i agree, it is not noticeable on your skin at all based on the pictute you posted. Perhaps the super light tinge will be perfect if one is going for the au naturele look.

ReplyDeleteCan't barely see the blush too but maybe there's other shade which more pigmented than this. Though I prefer a light blush also for a bit natural looking to me. I never had other revlon products, I only have my all time fave pink in the afternoon lipstick that I keep on purchasing. I'm using a blush now a bit affordable than Revlon that works fine on me, I might still check other shade of this and try this too. Thanks for the review:)

DeleteI have yet to try Revlon blushes. Will definitely check them out next time. It's good to know it's for oily skin, because I have oily skin and I notice that some blushes don't sit long enough on me (like Elf Powder Blush). Thanks for this review, Ms. Martha.

ReplyDeleteAlthough I would purchase Revlon blushes with tact because their blushes tend to get dry and crumbly after a few months, I don't know why. Had that experience with my mom's blush that was a dusty rose color. :(

DeleteI think I can't splurge on blush. A lot of cheaper brands have beautiful colors but not all has fine texture. My favorite blushes in my collection are from Etude House (Lovely Cookie Blusher in Grapefruit Jelly) and Mustaev (single eyeshadow in Blooming Peach) :D

DeleteI only have a stick blush from Revlon, and same as with the powder blush, it isn't that pigmented. But okay for that natural blush look. :) I like using Revlon's highlighting palette more since it has a prettier effect. :)

DeleteI am a fair skinned woman close to morena and I usually consider peach blush on because based on articles and make up experts if you're morena you should use Peach tone. Just like you I never owned a Revlon blush on. Based on your review I can consider this one on my next purchase because this blush on is ideal for combination to oily skin and the peach-pink shade really caught me. Plus it is easy to blend and the price is just right for a Revlon make up. Thank you for this review. :)
