THE VERDICT:

I had a friend in College whom I fondly called "Amour" just because she frequented Paris a lot every year (like twice, during sembreak and Summer, yo!); it was the only reason why I came up with that name.

Every time Amour went Paris, I'd always ask her to bring home a piece of the city in the form of beauty products; Caudalie, Avène, Lierac, La Roche Posay, and more French beauty products that I can't remember anymore at this point. In one of her trips, she brought home a bottle of Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse. When I tried it, I was like "Ooohh...what a luxurious oil!" and I liked it so much that it has been my staple pasalubong every time Amour goes to Paris.

Two more trips and bottles of Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse, and Amour finally decided to live in Paris; It was a sad moment for me because I had to bid farewell to a fellow makeup lover and my stocks of Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse (lol), but I couldn't be any happier for her as she's finally lived her dream of becoming a Parisienne.

Amour mused to me before leaving "I really hope Nuxe comes to the Philippines." Well, Amour, it's now here and I almost cried tears of joy upon learning about it! Oh, to take a bath in Huile Prodigieuse all day; why not!?

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse is a luxurious elixir of botanical oils that GREATLY improve the skin; it's not called "Magic Oil" for nothing!

NUXE HUILE PRODIGIEUSE IN DETAIL

Dubbed by Nuxe as the inimitable, incomparable cult oil, Huile Prodigieuse is the number 1 selling oil in pharmacies in France. It's a multitasker that can be used on the face, hair, and body, and according to a lot of users, it keeps skin in its radiant, healthy condition, thus earning the title "Magic Oil."

This oil comes in two variants: Huile Prodigieuse, the original and Huile Prodigieuse Or, which is spiked with gold shimmer to turn you into a bronzed goddess in an instant. I just prefer the original.

The 6 precious botanical oils that make this oil legendary are: Macadamia Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Hazelnut Seed Oil, Borrage Oil, Camellia Seed Oil, and St. John's Wort Oil; They are also aided by Olive and Sunflower oils for added moisture, but without the stickiness since both oils are known to mimic the skin's natural moisture. The oil has a tropical floral scent, with a bit of coconut in it; It's a bit strong and could be classified as 'acquired scent' by some, but as for me, I like it. :)

NUXE HUILE PRODIGIEUSE IN ACTION

It's a moisturizing, greaseless, dry oil that sets fairly quickly and leaves a sheen on the skin. It works well even in cold temperatures so I think even those with dry skin can rely on this product. I have moderately dry skin on my body and I only need a few spritzes to keep it moisturized, but those with extra dry skin will need a lil' bit more.

So I've used this product consistently a few years back and I remember how nice it felt, it smelled, and how it improves the skin visibly, if used religiously. My skin has this natural yet noticeable luster, and it just looks and feels nice overall. The effect I get from this product is not simply having moisturized, glowing skin; it's like my skin has been reborn.

On the hair, it gives the locks a bit of luster, but don't use a lot because it can make hair feel oily and weigh it down. For me, it works better as a night repair treatment for the hair because it helps prevent frizz!

On the face, it feels just like any facial oil, the premium one, of course. I rarely use this oil on my face because as I said in one of my posts, I prefer using lightly- scented or unscented products before going to sleep.

Huile Prodigieuse is an all- around beauty oil, but personally, I love using it on the body. I recommend it to anyone who's been dealing with dull and dry skin because "Magic Oil" will bring it back to life.

  1. When you listed the fragrance that is included in this Magic Oil, I can already smell them on my hair! And who wouldn't want to live in Paris? I envy your friend but when I think of the French lessons I'm gonna injure, I think I'm gonna pass on that. But this amazing product, I think I'm going to try this soon, especially when it will repair my crowning glory - my hair. I am so excited for this product, I think this will be on my every growing Christmas wish list!

  5. Saw this at Beauty Bar and it smells so good. So good it's good enough to be a perfume. Tried a little on my arms, and it felt soft and smooth. No greasy feeling at all. Now, I want this for Christmas! :)

  6. Aaw! Ang sweet naman ng story ni Amour! Funny that you get sad because you have to say goodbye to her and her pasalubong haha! I bet she's happy in Paris right now. Well, who wouldn't be happy to finally settle there? When i was a kid, i used to see a bottle of body oil in my mother's drawer that says it is best applied to naked body after shower. I forgot the brand and if it can be used for the face but i said to myself that i'm gonna try something like that when i grow up. Now i'm already a grown up, i still haven't tried any beauty oil. I find them too expensive so i just settle for lotions and cream moisturizers. But i'm not giving up on my "magic oil" dream. Who knows, i just might like be Amour who have finally fulfilled her dreams. 😄

  7. I really love the smell of this Nuxe Dry Oil. I got it from Singapore since it not available pa before here in Philippines. It's hard to find here even to online shops. I do not have issues with the scent since it smells like one of my mother's perfume. :)
