THE VERDICT:
Did you know that it is ideal to put eye cream before concealer? Because there could be certain ingredients in your concealer that can dry out the skin on your under eyes; it's has the thinnest skin on your face, therefore it's the most prone to dryness! I used to do this routine, but the problem was waiting for eye cream to get absorbed by my skin takes a lot of time!
Bobbi Brown, thankfully, has finally solved this issue for me with the introduction of Intensive Skin Serum Corrector and Concealer; light, refreshing, yet covers like a boss, this concealing and correcting duo goes beyond concealing; it improves the suppleness of the skin on the under eye area and combats dryness!
BOBBI BROWN INTENSIVE SKIN SERUM CORRECTOR IN PEACH AND CONCEALER IN NATURAL IN DETAIL
Intensive Skin Serum Corrector and Concealer camouflages discolorations whilst caring for the skin; it promises to energize, moisturize, and reduce dark circles with Cordyceps Mushroom, Indian Tree Root, and Bamboo Grass extracts. The corrector comes in 16 shades and the concealer, 15.
The products come in a chic, glass- like tube. Applicators are doe foot, helping me achieve spot on coverage; just remember to wipe the applicator clean before shooting it back into the tube.
Let's start with the corrector; Peach is a true peach shade that's perfect for minimizing dark circles.
Second is the concealer; Natural is a medium beige shade with a yellow undertone that's great for counteracting the Corrector and provides a brightening effect.
Both products are incredibly lightweight; they feel like serum indeed, have a cooling effect, and get absorbed quickly; a little slippery, but it's no biggie.
What amazed me most about this duo is how they can conceal greatly despite the sheer, lightweight consistency; it's like magic, if you're going to ask me; goes to show that great coverage is not always in the thickness of a product, but in the concentration of pigments!
BOBBI BROWN INTENSIVE SKIN SERUM CORRECTOR IN PEACH AND CONCEALER IN NATURAL IN ACTION
Bare under eye (QUE HORROR!)
One layer of the Corrector
The Corrector significantly minimized that scary a$$ dark circle!
One layer of the Concealer
After applying the concealer, I already forgot I had that dark circle!
Do you need both the corrector and concealer? If you have grave discolorations, it's best to have both as they will work together to conceal your boo-boos effectively. Otherwise, you're good with just one
Aside from the lightweight, moisturizing consistency, both products yield a brightening effect to the skin; whenever I wear these products, I don't have to wear eye cream anymore. Staying power is okay: I won't say they're waterproof, but they can last on any ordinary day.
I used both products for one month and I have observed great improvement in the suppleness on the under eye area and dryness became less prominent; my other concealers glide better and easier now!
I'm pretty happy with this concealer and corrector duo because it visibly moisturizes and soothes the under eyes; This corrector/concealer duo is a great complementary product to an intense eye care regimen, and perfect for those who want to cut their daily eye makeup routine short, who want a skin- caring concealer (an effective one, at that), and those who want a virtually weightless concealer that doesn't compromise coverage.
