THE VERDICT:

The second product off my Celeteque Dermocosmetics loot is Dual CC Matte Powder. I’ve never heard of more so encountered a CC powder before so this one’s intriguing. Is it CC in powder form? Let’s find out.

CELETEQUE DERMOCOSMETICS DUAL CC MATTE POWDER IN BEIGE IN DETAIL

This skin- caring powder has Alpha Arbutin, Mulberry, and Glutathione extracts to lighten skin, Tocopheryl Acetate for hydration, and Collagen for anti-aging; it has SPF 30 to protect the skin from the sun; claims to control oil for up to 12 hours.

Ingredients

The product comes in a square compact; it’s refreshing to see a square pressed powder again; I like this better than the longer compacts because it’s space- saving. Nice to know that this powder has a separate part for the sponge and the sponge has no rubbery smell and actually feels nice.

The powder has 3 shades. Beige is the darkest and luckily, it fits me; it has a yellow-peach undertone, which brightens and conceals hyperpigmentation at the same time. What’s great about this powder is even if it has high SPF, there is minimal white cast; in fact, I could even say that this one has no white cast at all! The powder has a semi- creamy texture, making it suitable for normal, combination, and dry skin, but not really on really oily skin types; it has a semi- matte finish.

CELETEQUE DERMOCOSMETICS DUAL MATTE CC POWDER IN BEIGE IN ACTION

Bare skin

Two layers of the powder

The powder yields light to medium coverage; it has a pretty lightweight, great finish: it’s smooth, even, but unfortunately, it does not cling too well on plain skin. Yikes. I always have to wear this one with a primer if I’m going to wear it on its own; you won’t have any problem if you’re going to wear this one with a liquid base. Bottomline, this powder needs something damp/creamy to adhere to; it doesn’t have great oil control too despite the claim. As for the CC claim, this powder does have the skin- caring benefits of this product, but it’s just regular face powder to me. On the brighter side, this product feels comfortable on the skin, doesn’t make my face feel taut, and won’t create dry patches on the skin.

Dual CC Cream is a good powder because it’s lightweight and finish is very good, but it can be great if the oil control and adhering properties are fixed. Best for normal and dry skin types.

  1. Another great product from Celeteque. And I think it's genuis that they have a separate layer for the sponge so that it will not be gross after using them. But it's sad that you need primers or liquid foundation just to make them stay longer especially those who have oily skin.

  2. From CC cream, now there's a CC powder that will be more convenient to use in my opinion(^.^) Celeteque hydration moisturiser is my favorite due it works in my dry skin better. I guess this CC powder of Celeteque would be perfect on my skin too but its pricey on my part(ToT) I will just try this as soon as I earned my first or second salary soon.

  3. When you post about the new celeteque cosmetics line, I remember that of all their new products this CC powder is the most I am eager to try:D but I was drawn to try out their foundation first because of your recommendation before. Hehe. I love their liquid foundation as I find it more amazing when it lasted long.
Anyways, I hope to try this too but I have a very oily skin so I'm bit worried that this powder is not for me.

  4. For its price, I don't think it's sulit. I was expecting it to at least cover imperfections. But i think Celeteque was really aiming for a gentle makeup, so they didn't put too much chemicals that might trigger zits.
However, I still find them expensive. Hehe

  5. The shade is awesome! It's quite hard to find affordable makeup that doesn't look to bright on my face.

  7. Whuuuttt, another powder in the drugstore field! Looks like it's got good coverage but too bad it can't be used on its own, because I tend to use just powder when I don't feel like using any liquid base (foundation, BB cream, tinted moisturizer).

  8. Coverage is amazing! And the compact separation is nice but meh, I feel like it's too pricey for a Celeteque product. I dunno.

    1. For me, a little pricey because of its formula that doesn't cling well onto the skin. :p

  9. Good thing I read this review first hand. For an oily face like mine, I guess this is not for me. Tnough I like the idea that Celeteque decided to come up with their own makeup line. A lot of things can be done to improve the product. Thanks for the review Ms. Martha.

  10. First the compact is white (it's a dirt magnet) and secondly it's matte though it looks flat on me

    1. Yeah, a lil' flat if you put more than two layers so I don't go beyond that. :)

  11. I tend to get lazy sometimes so i prefer powders that doesn't require liquid bases. I guess this product is not for me since i have extremy oily t-zone and it doesn't fit my makeup budget. But for those who have dry or normal skin, i'm sure they will love the skin caring benefits that this powder can give.

  12. Hi, what's the difference between CC cream & BB Cream? I am just curious. Hehe.

    1. CC-Color Correct (for correcting skin tone and discolorations such as redness and sallowness; makeup)

BB-Blemish Balm (more for covering blemishes, scars, hyperpigmentation; skin care+makeup)

  13. I've been a fan of BB creams and haven't really tried CC creams . The price is quite cheap cmpared to other brands , this ine is worth a try . :)

The coverage seems to be great on your skin , hope it would have the same effect on my skin :)

  15. I love how compact it is. The packaging is plain simple as well. Since it doesn't cling well to bare skin, I think I'm gonna pass. I love wearing just plain powders when I'm not in the mood to put makeup. :/ And I think it's a bit pricey for the quality

  16. That packaging is so efficient! Though I'm kind of hesitant to try their cosmetics more than their skin care line..

  19. This saddens me a lot. I love Celeteque skin care line but seeing that this product has a lot of silicone-derived ingredients breaks my heart (and my skin literally). Great review, very informative!
