THE VERDICT:
When I read that this lipstick said SHEEN, I automatically lowered my expectations because I'm not the biggest fan of this finish, but holy cow, when I swatched this lipstick, it's even more pigmented than say, Satin lipsticks of some brands! Sleek MakeUP True Color Lipstick Sheen is a moisturizing lipstick for those who like it light, but crazy pigmented!

Ingredients
SLEEK MAKEUP TRUE COLOR LIPSTICK SHEEN IN SMOULDER IN ACTION
Smoulder is a deep wine shade with a hint of brown; I applied two layers per lip to achieve this pigmented coverage; with other sheen lipstick, it will take me about 3-4 swipes to achieve the same effect.
Consistency is smooth, creamy, and highly moisturizing; it has a bit of unevenness to it, which I feel is intended for the pigmentation to not kill the Sheen effect and look of the product (if it were even, it would be better off as a satin or cream lipstick). I know it's Sheen, but I guess Sleek MakeUP can't help it-they're really all about intense color coverage and pigmentation!
I think the term Sheen for this product refers to the feel and look of the product; not really the pigmentation, unlike some brands; it's very light on the lips and maintains a skin- like texture yet without compromising color.
Surprisingly, for a creamy lipstick, it fades gradually; I noticed that this lipstick has a staining action as it comes off gradually during a meal and leaves a tinge of color after it comes off completely; for some colors though, the tinge tends to look uneven as they seem to settle into fine lines so it's best to remove them completely or retouch the color.
True Color Lipstick is for gals who want a moisturizing, lightweight lipstick that still packs a punch of color; I think I have already found the Sheen lipstick that addresses my needs!

I thought it was a common dark maroon shade of lipstick but it turns out to be a beautiful unique of wine shade. I like the shade:) and the sheen texture of it looks wearable.

DeleteIt soothes you Ms.Martha, I don't know if I could pull that color but I tried the Cherry and Liquer of Sleek. Cherry is a bit dark and pigmented too but it's reddish than Smilder. And when I bought cherry they don't have the smolder because it's one of their best sellers. And I agree that it's moisturizing though for the staying power I don't expect to much.

DeleteI loved the color on the tube but I like it better when worn! I was thinking it would be almost colorless, just a darker shade a bit. But wow! It's super pigmented!

DeleteThe finish is quite opaque. Not bad for the price! What makes me sad though is that Sleek counters are almost always so bare. They don't have stocks of anything except gloss huhu. I hope they would restock more often.
