 THE VERDICT:

Every nose patch lover like me knows that enlarged pores is the downside of usage of this product; that's why I have eternally enlarged pores on my nose area and I've been looking for a post- treatment that will help my skin recover from nose patch treatments; I've found one in Benefit The Porefessional Instant Wipeout Mask, a nose mask that helps shrink and clarify pores for smooth- looking skin.

BENEFIT THE POREFESSIONAL INSTANT WIPEOUT MASK IN DETAIL

This dual- sided face mask is enriched with Mushroom extract to clean and help minimize the appearance of pores; the fabric woven mask has a smooth side that acts as a sheet mask and a textured side that serves as an exfoliant.

One box contains 10 masks; you can use one to two packs per week, depending on how often you need it. I only use one per week because it is expensive!

True to the concept of The Porefessional series, these masks come in a packaging with a "mission" theme; you have to press the green button on the pack to release the serum and drench the mask inside with it; the mask is dry so you have to press the button before opening the pack; this fun packaging feature is not just for show; it actually serves a purpose and that is it keeps the serum fresh before usage.

Time to prevent those pores from getting bigger!

BENEFIT THE POREFESSIONAL INSTANT WIPEOUT MASK IN ACTION

First, I used the smooth side to keep to help shrink my pores with the serum; the mask doesn't have good traction so it's best used when lying down; enjoy the moment and relax as you wait for 10 minutes.

The product yields a stinging sensation that's pretty intense at first so I would recommend that if you have sensitive skin or skin that tends to get red fairly quickly, conduct a patch test first before usage.

Afterwards, I used the textured side to exfoliate my nose area further; the textured side is not that gritty so it's okay to use even after proper exfoliation just to ensure that no dead skin cells are lurking.

I've used the whole pack for around 2 1/2 months and I've noticed that it helped my pores from getting and looking bigger, especially after using a nose pack/patch - it generally kept my pores from looking bigger and the surface of my skin, rough. No breakouts with this product too.

It's a special product, although I find the whole thing a bit expensive considering that it's only for the nose area; I guess if you really have large pores and you want a great partner for nose patches, I will recommend this to you because it works.

  1. Hi Ms. Martha, I also have enlarge pores on that area where you put the patch on. What are the reasons why you have enlarged pores especially on that area? I was thinking it happened when I started using cream to remove blackheads and whiteheads? Is it correct or no? How much is each pack of this one? I wanted to try if it works for you to help me get rid of the big pores huhu. Thanks for posting this.

    1. Oil, genetics, habits, amount of dirt that your skin accumulates, and underlying skin conditions. Yes, if you're using nose patches a lot to removes white and blackheads, enlarged pores is the downside. This is around P1,800. :)

  2. Benefit the Porefessional Instant Wipeout Mask, I think it is expensive for nose patch. But I like the idea of pressing the serum first so that when you use it, it still fresh.

  8. This looks like a good product to treat yourself with every now and then! I can't afford it yet with a student budget, but it gave me an idea how to treat my nose area after using a pore patch! I think what I've been doing lately is somehow comparable. I use a sheet mask immediately after using a pore patch on my nose to soothe the pores and inject nutrients onto ny skin. This might be dangerous though because the pores are still open and they might react negatively, but thankfully I haven't had any breakouts. :)

  9. This looks like a good product to indulge in every once in a while. :) I've also been looking for a good post-care treatment for when I use pore patches on my nose, but this one is kind of pricey for my student budget. It gave me an idea about what direction to take though! I think what I've been doing is somehow comparable because I use a sheet mask immediately after using a pore patch so as to soothe my open pores. However this can be dangerous because the pores are open and they could react negatively to the sheet mask infusions, but thankfully I haven't had any breakouts. :)
