Clarisonic, one of the first brands that launched the idea of using automatic skin care tools, will shut down the brand and its operations on September 30, 2020.

I remember the time when this brand came out; it was all the rage that time and I've always wanted to have one of their high end face brushes. But I do believe that Clarisonic had a good run and though this is a sad moment for the brand (and its fans), I trust that the founders find this a good ending and are now off to a more exciting adventure.

Thank you for revolutionizing skin care, Clarisonic!

You can get Clarisonic's famous face brushes at 50% off from Sephora, Ulta, and other stockists.

When a door closes, another one opens.

Patrick Starr, one of the famous Filipino-American Youtubers, has finally released his makeup line called One/Size Beauty.

The brand's first products, interestingly, are makeup removers. One/Size Beauty GO OFF makeup remover collection is comprised of makeup remover wipes Starr claims as thick, dense, and big that it can remove a full cake makeup in one swipe and a makeup remover Spray, an innovative, easy, instant way to remove makeup when you don't want to deal with spatulas and pumps; just spray, leave on for a few seconds, wipe off.

In an interview with Yahoo!, Patrick Starr shared why he decided to start with a makeup remover line given that he is known for his fabulous makeup looks. Starr shared that while conceptualizing the brand and its products, his vision was to be a game changer by standing out but still complementary to beauty routines. When he looked at the landscape of beauty, he found it saturated with skin care and makeup collaborations so he thought of launching a makeup remover collection first because it's the puzzle piece that fits between and links makeup and skin care. Starr also mused that the makeup remover collection is a way for him to reclaim an embarrassing moment while he was working as an associate for a makeup brand when a manager told him to remove his makeup on the spot because "no man should be wearing that much makeup." Through One/Size GO OFF collection, he wanted to twist that moment into an empowering one by encouraging people to love themselves more, with or without makeup.

One/Size Beauty GO OFF collection will launch soon in Sephora and other partner retailers.

Fenty Beauty is now venturing into skin care!

A week ago, Rihanna teased us with this juicy poster that announces the upcoming launch of FENTY SKIN. The tagline got me really curious and I can't wait to see what Fenty is releasing and what skin care revolution they are starting! In the meantime, save the date!

Wayne Goss has just released his first makeup product under his namesake beauty line and it had great reviews. This time, he teased us with a sleek makeup palette. What could this be? Is it an eyeshadow palette or a face powder/powder foundation? Those are my guesses? What are yours.

In the meantime, get blow by blow updates from his Instagram account @gossmakeupartist.

Sephora Philippines went on a hiatus for a while because of the pandemic, but when I visited their page last night, I saw this link-cum-announcement that they are finally operational again! YAY!

You can now shop for your favorite brands exclusive to Sephora. Btw, I have a code: use MARTHA upon checkout to get 10% off on your purchase! Enjoy and don't forget to share your hauls in our beauty group, THE BEAUTY JUNKEE'S UNITE Facebook group.

  1. Love the "when a door closes, another one opens." Wild guess, probably an eyeshadow palette since most people will be wearing masks these days, maybe something for the eyes where make up will still be highly noticed and appreciated. Probably eventually they'll tease and release more ☺️❤️
