THE VERDICT:

I have Zoom meetings lined up this week plus a couple of livestreams, and I just want to say that I'm pretty thankful for those because finally, I have a reason to put on makeup again; this is important to me because makeup plays a huge part in my career and I associate it with power, confidence, and success; I feel like my usual self when I put on makeup because it takes me back to the times when I would prep, primp, and go out to seize the day and hit my goals--I look forward to that day when I can do all of this again or maybe in a new world where I can start anew...while putting makeup, of course! :D

So I thought of reviewing this Zoom or online meeting essential before I attend mine today: LIPSTICK. Lipstick may not be as in demand before all of this happened, but it's still being used widely today because WFH is still work and we still have to look presentable in online meetings, presentations, and pitches.

Our spotlight today is on Revlon Super Lustrous The Luscious Matte lipsticks, cushiony, soothing, moisturizing, and super pigmented matte lipsticks that give caring color. Btw, I think this is one of Revlon's most affordable lipstick lines to date!

Revlon Super Lustruous The Luscious Matte Lipstick is a new range of 16 pigmented, soft, lightweight lipsticks enriched with a luxurious blend of Agave, Morniga, and Cupuaçu butter.

Packaging looks classy and gives the Nars vibe: rubbery, suede- textured tube for the chic, luxe look; also, the texture of the packaging keeps it from slipping off my fingers.

Let's get it on with the swatches!

1. ONYX

- Black. Period. This is a pleasant surprise for a heritage brand like Revlon that's always been known for classic makeup!

2. MAKE IT PINK

- Pastel baby pink. Too light for my skin tone, but this can work as a base for dark lipstick if I want a more even color coverage.

3. CRUSHED RUBIES

-  Deep ruby red. A very sexy color that's perfect for date nights or anytime you just want to feel your oats. :D

4. PICK ME UP

- Mauve beige. A neutralizing beige that works well on medium to warm skin tones. I like how this shade balances my look.

5. WILD THOUGHTS

- Light rosy pink. A pretty everyday shade.

6. HOT CHOCOLATE

- A deep browned red. This is a nice red shade for darker skin tones, but looks equally good on other skin tones too!

 7. FIRE AND ICE

- Cherry pink shade. FYI, Fire and Ice is one of Revlon's most iconic shades. This pretty shade that's in between red and pink is always a nice, playful option for daytime.

8. CANDY ADDICT

- Bubblegum pink. Just like Make It Pink, this shade is not for me and it's better off on fairer skin tones.

9. SHOW OFF

- Classic red. There's always room for an extra red!

10. CHERRIES IN THE SNOW

- Warm hot pink with berry undertone. Another classic shade by Revlon and one of their most popular, like Fire and Ice. This one reminds me of Nars Funny Face, but without the blue micro shimmer! I'm not sure if that shade is still around, but if you love it, this is a good alternative!

11. HOT DATE

- Berry pink with a violet undertone. Looks good on warm skin tone and a less deeper alternative to Cherries in the Snow, if you want to wear something from the berry/pink spectrum.

12. SHAMELESS

- Dirty mauve. Great for those who want a mauve with a moody feel.

13. AFTER HOURS

- Deep cognac red. The name is true to the shade indeed. The holidays are coming so this is perfect for those vamp looks!

14. IF I WANT TO

- Nude peachy beige. I was surprised to learn that despite how pale this looks in the tube, it suited my skin tone and didn't wash me out so warm skinned ladies who are into these types of shades, check this out. I also love the fresh vibe of this shade!

The lipsticks have a soft, suede feel and soft matte finish. I love how it feels so smooth, cushiony, and comfortable; it is so nice on the lips that I can't stop rubbing them together just so I could feel the softness. :D

Staying power is good: it lasts without streaking and bleeding around the lips, but it's not waterproof nor long- lasting; you have to reapply it after a meal. It has a nice nutty scent as well. Some shades leave a hint of stain, especially the darker ones so it's something you may want to go for if you want to have that tint effect even when your lipstick is long gone.

I am surprised to learn that Revlon's lipsticks have gotten more affordable! Before, their lipsticks would start around the P600 and up range, but I'm glad to know they've reconsidered pricing. More people will now be able to try out how amazing Revlon is!

By far, this is one of the lipsticks with the nicest textures I've tried and I like it mainly for that, plus the shade range is diverse as well.

I recommend this lipstick if you're looking a comfortable matte lipstick to wear and if you're into nice textures like me! :D
