TBJ 11TH MEGA ANNIVERSARY: Zenfest + What to expect in this year's mega blog celebration!

 

One of the highlights of my year is the TBJ Mega Anniversary party; I was so excited last March preparing for this, but because of the pandemic, it had to be put on hold. Up until the point when I finally decided to push through with this, it has been a source of anxiety and sadness because I always look forward to this celebration with my beloved community and I was never sure if it will ever happen.

I had so many doubts before pushing through with this celebration: I have wondered for nights if brands will continue with their sponsorships, if the TBJ Beshies would still be willing to support the endeavor, or if converting the party into an online celebration would even work. 

Then I was reminded that the TBJ Beshies have always believed in me, in the community, and what we stand for so it has re-awakened that gritty side of me. Thank you, TBJ Beshies for always believing in me and in our community-it gave me enough courage to believe that I can do this again despite the situation. I'm reminded once again that I just don't have followers-I have a family; 11 years of doing this and I've realized, we've really come a long way as a beauty community!

11 YEARS-I finally have a young adult haha! I've prepared amazing talks and programs for you, TBJ Beshies, that are relevant and will definitely inspire, encourage, and uplift you in a time like this.

Zenfest is a livestream event not only to celebrate The Beauty Junkee's 11th year in the content creation industry, but to encourage everyone to stand up and dream again.

The talks are focused on realigning goals, finding purpose, stress management through holistic healing techniques, and of course, the best beauty finds this quarantine period and my much- anticipated brow workshop.

Below are the talks to expect in our 2- hour long online celebration:

Yours truly will talk about my most favorite beauty finds from our sponsoring brands. Staying at home is the them of 2020 and what better way to make it worthwhile than by taking care of ourselves more through skin care and exploring our creative side with makeup; if you're looking for the next skin care or makeup item to try and you want to make sure that it is worth it, then this talk is truly for you.

Billion Dollar Brow technique is a favorite workshop of the TBJ Beshies. In this quick workshop, I will share with you the five brow techniques and lessons I live by in achieving my legendary brows. I've learned these fool- proof, practical brow techniques through countless trial and error and I'd gladly share them with you in just 20- 30 minutes! ;)

Blogger and certified Reiki Master Healer, Tarot Consultant, and owner of Astral Crystals, a wellness/spirituality consulting service, Krish Rai Enriquez, will talk about the benefits of meditation, how you can start with it plus tools, tips, and tricks in finding calm, balance, and positivity using the best tool you have and can turn to in order to survive this pandemic: YOUR MIND.

Ikigai is the Japanese way of finding your purpose and Darlyn Ty-Nilo, founder of Belle De Jour, will discuss what it is, how it works, and how you can use it as your compass in turbulent times. A huge part of Ikigai involves writing so Darlyn will also discuss Journal Therapy, a wellness practice that encourages inner healing and inspires calm through writing.

This year, instead of giving away the slots, I did a sign up for those who wanted to be a VIB (Very Important Beshie) and help put this event together. I'm happy to share that I was able to open the beauty bags to more TBJ Beshies, 130 VIBs to be exact.
