THE VERDICT:

Last year, I have received a couple of K-Beauty goodies from Han Manila including this product called Chocho Lab Pore Capture Primer Sun Cream; it's quite an intriguing product because it's an SPF and primer in one; what a really nice combination! I've been trying it for a couple of days and this gets The Beauty Junkee's seal of approval! This innovative skin care + makeup product protects skin from UV rays and keeps skin moisturized and supple so that makeup can stay on longer!

Ingredients

Chocho Lab Pore Capture Sun Cream is Korean beauty brand founded by a celebrity Korean makeup artist. Chocho Lab Pore Capture Sun Primer Cream has SPF 30 PA++ that protects that skin from sun damage, helps blur pores, and has Jeju Marine Plant Complex that keeps skin moisturized for better makeup adhesion.

Chocho Lab is a light, hydrating cream; it's very easy to spread, but leaves a tinge of white cast so I make sure to buff it on to my skin properly. The white cast isn't bothersome though; it can easily be evened out with your preferred makeup base and doesn't affect the hue of makeup at all. It has a light floral scent and I like that it doesn't feel heavy on the skin unlike most sunscreens.

Does it have good blurring properties? It does, but it isn't very significant. I don't expect it to have impressive blurring properties though since it's not a makeup product.

What I find impressive is this product somewhat functions as a primer because I find that it helps keep my makeup looking fresh for hours together with my preferred primer. One reason why I sometimes skip sunscreen is because my face sweats a lot and becomes oilier when I have it on, but with this product, my face feels more moisturized and it doesn't feel 'hot' on the skin at all. This sun cream has utilized hydration to help prolong the coverage and intensity of makeup. ICYMI, the more hydrated the skin is, the less oilier it gets, therefore the longer makeup stays and the more vibrant it looks on your skin.

But of course, this is not to say that this product can replace primer; it will just support the function of primer by helping regulate your skin's oil production.

This is one of my favorite daily sunscreens at the moment because it's lightweight and helps keep oil at bay. It's definitely one of the makeup- friendly sunscreen products out there. If you have oily, normal, and dry skin, you'll like this product!
