THE VERDICT:

I used to be a mascara lover because my lashes used to be lush and long, therefore a lot of mascaras work well on my lashes and application is always a breeze. But when you age, your lashes just become thinner and harder to groom, and it seems like mascaras just look clumpy. It's exactly what I am experiencing now, but thankfully, my lashes are not alarmingly thin; it's just not what it used to be. That said, I don't feel too keen to try new mascaras and would rather stick to the brands I trust.

But curiosity got the better of me. A lot have been raving about Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara so I decided to try it out; glad I did because Maybelline, time and again, has proven that they are the best when it comes to mascara formulas. 

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara gives you long, lush lashes that last the whole day, and it's one of those mascaras that I would recommend to aging lashes because it gives great definition and volume without too much clumping.

Ingredients

Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara is lengthening and volumizing mascara that promises sky high lengths; formula is long- lasting and comes in one shade only, Black.

The product comes with a silicone brush and has a dense amount of bristles that are spaced- evenly between each other, which gives me the impression that this mascara can deliver both length and volume.

Consistency is soft and creamy and can be evened out easily with the wand; it doesn't clump on the wand and lashes as well and it sets very efficiently, giving me enough time to even out the product on my lashes.

So here's a side by side comparison of my bare lashes and my lashes with three coats of Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara. I've never seen my lashes this thick in a while! Reminds me of the good ol' days! Clumping is a problem that sparse lashes always encounter and with this mascara, I'm glad that it doesn't look that clumpy and it gives my lashes good definition.

As for staying power, this is more waterproof than long- lasting because I need an oil- based makeup remover to take it off my lashes. 

This product is making me excited to wear mascara again! Good job on this one, Maybelline! Definitely worth the hype!
