THE VERDICT:

Oh, finally! I got my hands on this elusive Pillow Talk lipstick by Charlotte Tilbury. I was hoping to score a tube of Pillow Talk Medium when I went to Singapore for a vacation, but her counters were literally wiped out.

Last December, I tried my luck at Harrods.com and its was luckily in stock together with the other CT makeup products that I wanted to get namely Luxury Eyeshadow Palette and Airbrush Flawless Finish Foundation.

Is this lipstick worth the hype? Yes and no. Let me tell you why.

 

Pillow Talk is arguably Charlotte Tilbury's most popular lipstick. It's so popular that it even deserved its expanded range that features an eyeshadow palette and complexion palette. The original Pillow Talk was paler and more suitable for fairer skin tones, but modern times call for a more modern approach to beauty so the brand has added more Pillow Talk shades to cater to more skin tones.

Pillow Talk Medium is a warm, dirty rose shade. It's ideal for medium to medium deep skin tones.

I am redirecting you to this article because I have not noticed any change in the formula and scent of Pillow Talk vs. Birkin Brown though my BB though feels crusty because I've had it for 5 years!

This is Pillow Talk medium on me. Just the way I like it! Beautiful, everyday rose shade for warm skin tones. I like that it goes with almost any makeup and outfit.

But is it worth it? Is it worth going for the extra mile and paying extra to resellers just for this product?

Yes because Matte Revolution has a really nice formula; it's one of the most comfortable matte lipsticks out there. Also, if you don't mind spending that amount on a tube of lipstick and if you can afford to, then it is essentially worth it.

No because Pillow Talk is a shade that probably has a ton of dupes and close dupes in cheaper brands. Remember 2016 when beauty brands literally bombarded us with rose- colored neutrals? I think we still have a lot of those shades right now and you can easily find a Pillow Talk Medium dupe so if you're a beauty on a budget, then check local drugstore makeup brands for something similar.
