Fresh from the success of their premium brightening sunscreen, Fairy Skin unveils an apt follow up product called Fairy Skin Tinted Sunscreen. Tinted Sunscreen is a thing nowadays because of its easy, light, and no- fuss nature, which makes it a good base of choice for busy, on-the-go individuals. Most individuals are back to work and are no longer working from home, and they want a multitasking base that protects and conceals; tinted sunscreens are a great option.
This product is all over my Tiktok feed lately and I luckily received some samples from Fairy Skin. I bought their Premium Brightening Sunscreen before and I liked it that's why I was open to testing this new version.
You know what? If you're looking for an inexpensive tinted sunscreen that works, you should try this!
Fairy Skin Premium Tinted Sunscreen is a multitasking product that can act as SPF, makeup base, primer, and acne care product in one. It comes in one shade only, which Fairy Skin claims to be tone adapting. The packaging reminds me of Fenty Beauty's Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint.
Ingredients
Fairy Skin boasts of their patented Brightgen and Acnecare complex. Brightgen is a combination of plant- derived extracts (Forsythia Suspensa fruit extract and Butylene Glycol) that help brighten and even out the skin tone. Acnecare is a combination of hydrating and anti- acne botanicals (Nelumbo Nucifera and Cardiospermum Halicacabum) that help manage acne problems. It has broad spectrum SPF 50 PA++++ to protect the skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays. Fairy Skin Premium Brightening sunscreen also promises to provide hydrating, moisturizing, anti- wrinkle, and soothing benefits.
Cruelty- free. Clinically- tested. SPF- tested. And yes, Fairy Skin's company and products are FDA- registered.
Consistency is light and feels like a gel- cream; feels very fresh and comforting on the skin. The shade is medium beige with a neutral undertone. The reason why Fairy Skin called this tone adapting is because the coverage is sheer to begin with, hence it practically looks ok on any skin tone and even if it looks light on somebody, it's not awkwardly light and can be easily remedied by makeup. I like the choice of shade because together with the smart formula, it made the product suitable for the most common Filipina skin tones. For deep skin tones, it may look obviously light though.
Here's the product on just one side of my face. If it's sheer, then how come it can still even out my skin tone effectively?
UV filter Titanium Dioxide has supported the pigments to deliver better coverage; this is why I think the brand said that the product can give light to medium coverage; it's like the two balance themselves out: the pigments help prevent white cast while Titanium Dioxide lends more concealing properties. Really well- formulated, I must say.
Here's Fairy Skin Premium Tinted Sunscreen under makeup. It did not affect the shade of my makeup at all, no white cast, doesn't feel heavy, and it fact, it feels like moisturizer so it's giving my skin that extra moisturizing and hydrating boost.
Does it make you skin feel oily? No in my experience. I also like that it is fragrance- free.
Overall, a really good product and I'm quite amazed that we can actually produce something like this and for under P300 at that! Good job to team Fairy Skin for making great skin care accessible!
