THE VERDICT:

Happy Skin's Moisturizing Matte lipstick that we first experienced with the Preview X Happy Skin Hot Stuff Collection was so good, I thought they should make more colors for it.

AAAAANNDD they just did! Let's all welcome Happy Skin's new set of Moisturizing Matte lippies called Read My Lips. I just received a sample of Best Date Ever and I'll be swatching it for everyone today! :)

HAPPY SKIN SHUT UP AND KISS ME MOISTURIZING MATTE LIPPIE IN BEST DATE EVER IN ACTION

Best Date Ever is a muted Berry shade.

It's nice to see a Berry lipstick shade that's not vampy. It can even be worn everyday, even in corporate settings because there's something neutral about it. Looks really nice on warm skin tones, but color tends to look flat on fair skin tones. Don't be sad, fair- skinned ladies, because the two other shades in the Read My Lips collection will suit your skin tone.

Finally, a Berry lipstick for everyday. Great color, Happy Skin!

  6. I couldn't agree more! I love darker shades like berry however they tend to give that vampy or edgy look whether you feel like it or not. lol Surprisingly this Happy Skin Shut Up And Kiss Me Moisturizing Matte Lippie in Best Date Ever (wew that's a freakin' long name! :D) looks really wearable for everyday use. Thumbs Up! :))

  7. The shade is really pretty! It didn't turn out to be suoer vampy upon application. Will get that soon. I also saw the reddish version and I would get that as well! :) I'm so excited.

  8. Surprised that a berry lipstick suited filipina skin tone so well. Im just curious, how does the shade compare to that of mac rebel or nars audacious in vivienne? Anyway, I love you ms. Martha and more power to your blog!

    1. Berry actually suits warm skin tones. :) This one, it's prolly more comparable to MAC Up The Amp-this one is just a bit darker than the former. :)

  9. So pretty. I do have a warm tone and upon reading that this compliments it best, I'm sold! So far I am loving my Hot Stuff so I don't think that this new shade from Happy Skin would disappoint. Though, I have not tried a berry shade ever, I think it's high time that I do. Thanks Miss M!
