THE VERDICT:

I had a pretty bad breakout last month due to hormones and stress due to work and the upcoming wedding. It's not great to experience a breakout, but I just took it positively by treating it as a chance to try out my new anti-acne skin care called Skin Life. And it works!

WHAT IS IT?

Made by the Japanese company Cow Brand, the same company behind the famous Cow Soap, features SkinLife, a targeted skin care range made with fruit acid and lemon extracts for anti-inflammation and anti- bacterial effects.

This is a simple, straightforward line consisting only of facial foam, facial wash, toner, and moisturizer because according to some articles I've read, Cow Brand decided to make it simple because they believe acne- prone skin doesn't need a lot of products that may aggravate its condition; all it needs is a small, tough yet gentle set of skin care. Apparently, SkinLife is popular among those in their 20s who are experiencing acne.

I have the toner and facial foam; the toner is unscented and feels refreshing, but doesn't yield any sting at all despite the fact that it has acid extracts; the toner has a mild lemon fragrance.

HOW IS IT? HOW DOES IT WORK?

After one month of usage

I've used this straight for a month and by the second week, the pimples began to heal and by the fourth week, my skin has cleared up. Awesome! Now all I have to deal with are post- acne marks.

This is an effective duo and I like that despite its tough action on zits, it never made my skin feel dry; it also yields no sting whatsoever. Will definitely repurchase!
