THE VERDICT:

Makeup multi- pens are becoming a trend in cosmetics lately. It started with Clarins' face pen and Benefit follows suit with Brow Contour Pro, one of their most awaited brow products. Brow artistry is taken to a new level with this all in one pen that you can easily bring around for on fleek brows anytime!

Ingredients

Just launched in the Philippines about two weeks ago is Benefit Brow Contour Pro, a 4-in-1 defining and highlighting brow pencil that comes in 5 shades.

It's fun how makeup brands are taking inspiration from everyday items and using them to enrich their line- up. In the case of Brow Contour Pro, it's a makeup version of the good ol' multicolor pen that every school boy/girl has; I've had a lot of it in high school because I loved switching ink colors while jotting down notes (until the school made it mandator to use either black or blue pen only ugh!).

Brow Contour Pro has four products: Deeper brow coloring shade, Lighter brow coloring shade, Definer (concealer/for defining the tail of the brow), and Highlighter (for highlighting the arch)

The products are encased in a tight plastic tube that come up in a twist; don't twist a lot because the products don't go back into the tube once they're out!

Here are the swatches:

Deeper shade: chocolate brown

Lighter shade: midtone taupe brown

Definer: medium beige with a light peach undertone

Highlighter: Champagne shimmer

The shade I got is Brown, which is perfect for morenas. The products are moderately creamy; no warming up needed; they glide on smoothly and are pretty pigmented, most especially the brow pens.

Brow Contour Pro has a complementing dual- ended Brow Blender: one end is a spoolie and the other, a pointy sponge to blend the definer and highlighter.

Bare brow

With Deeper and Lighter brow pencils, and Definer on brow bone

The pencils are extremely pigmented and they create more of a shadowy coverage than strokes so apply sparingly and spread with a spoolie. The tip of the pencils have a small diameter and they suit pretty much any eyebrow shape.

The Definer lifts the look of the brow instantly and I like that the peach shade has a slight concealing effect.

Staying power is okay: it is long- wearing, but not waterproof. Finish of the products is soft matte.

I find myself reaching for this brow pen more often because it's so convenient, easy to use, and pretty much has everything I need to design my brows; no need to pull out tons of products and spend time storing them away because of this pen! A+ for convenience! However, I wish though that they would replace the highlighter with something else because the Definer (concealer) will suffice as a highlighter and concealer; maybe another brow defining product, like an in- between for the deeper and lighter brow coloring shades?

Overall, this is an ingenious product, not to mention travel- friendly too; it's your all-in-one brow artist in a pen!
