THE VERDICT:

When Charlotte Tilbury's Luxury Palette eyeshadow collection came out, it was all the rage and it was so hard to get your hands on one because it was practically sold out everywhere. It's been about 5 or so years since I learned about this product, but I have always been on the fence to try despite the raves because as a beauty blogger, believe me, I've already tried EVERYTHING.

Last 2022, I started to slowly rebuild my makeup collection because a lot of my makeup and skin care backups had rot during the lockdown, and I thought of finally trying for myself this famous eyeshadow palette; it was Christmas and I like Charlotte Tilbury in general anyway so I thought hey, why not??

After using it for quite some time, I can finally say that I now understand why this is highly raved: it's a very luxurious eyeshadow palette that has an HD finish and that famous Tilbury Glow perfectly gives you radiant, red carpet- worthy eyes!

Ingredients

Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palette features finely milled, liquid- like pigments to deliver that "Tilbury Glow". The prime and enhance shades are processed using magic coated technology to create that cream- like texture and finish for intense payoff in one stroke. Luxury Palette eyeshadow collection features 15 color sets.

Charlotte Tilbury's packaging, from the box to the palettes, is pretty lightweight; I think it's designed that way to avoid hand fatigue most especially with makeup artists who oftentimes hold products for long hours. I understand the rationale behind the lightweight packaging, but for a luxury product, the materials used just don't feel luxurious to me; I've always had this opinion even way back when I first encountered the brand, but I buy the products anyway because I love the performance and the old Hollywood glam feel.

The Queen of Glow is one of the popular color sets and I can see why; it's great for everyday and a pretty safe choice for almost anyone.

Here are the shades and my description of them:

L-R:

1- Prime shade. Metallic pale gold.

2- Enhance shade. Metallic copper-gold.

3- Pop. Metallic peach-champagne.

4- Smoke. Matte chocolate brown with soft red undertone

The eyeshadow are sooo buttery and pigmented. It only took me one swipe to achieve those pigmented color swatches. The eyeshadows have a cream- like texture and I think that's the secret to its impressive blendability, finish, and payoff. Another great thing about the texture is it makes the eyeshadows transfer consistently onto the skin and don't break as they glide on, which I think is a small yet important product characteristic that I'm glad they paid attention to because pigment consistency can affect the overall intensity and look of your makeup, plus it makes the product ergonomic too.

Love the formula of this eyeshadow palette: it's well thought out and perfect for anyone regardless of makeup skills because the formula is so easy to use.

Okay, okay, this isn't the best picture to showcase the beauty of this palette; I was in a hurry when I took these photos so I haven't given it much thought so maybe I'll upload a better one soon.

Aside from the impressive color payoff, what I love about this eyeshadow palette by Charlotte Tilbury is it gives your lids a luminous finish, making it look bright, big, and overall, just pretty; perhaps that's the iconic Tilbury Glow that she's talking about! Another thing that I love about it is it has this second skin look: it doesn't look powdery despite being pigmented and has an HD finish.

Overall, I love this product and I think the reason why a lot of people love it is because the shades are very flattering across a lot of skin tones, it's compact, quality is superb, it's pretty easy to use, and the finish is very reminiscent of red carpet looks that just look immaculately radiant and tbh, who doesn't want that??
