Here's an initial review for ELIZABETH ARDEN GREEN TEA LOTUS 30ML
PRICE: AROUND P1500
PLACE BOUGHT: TAIWAN
OTHER LOCATIONS: LOCAL MALLS, http://leperfumerie.multiply.com
DESCRIPTION (TAKEN FROM FRAGRANTICA.COM):
Green Tea Lotus was launched in 2008 as limited edition. It captures you with aroma of Asian lily, along with cherry blossom, yuzu and accords of plum. Characterized as tender, light and exotic, it greets you with plum (that symbolizes China, elegance and pureness), cherry blossom (that reminds of transience of life and is a symbol of female beauty) and yuzu, Japanese citrus that smells similar to sweet pommel. The heart is composed of Asian lily, gracious lotus (a symbol of freedom and spiritual re-birth), green tea and osmanthus. Base notes are musk and white birch. It is available as 50 and 100 ml edt.
THE VERDICT:
From the timeless Green Tea comes out an oriental re- interpretation, the Green Tea Lotus.
I've always loved the light, crisp, and vibrant scent of E. Arden's Green Tea. I remembered using this fragrance in High school. My taste for fragrance has evolved, but I will always have a special place in my heart for Green Tea.
The scent opens up to an accord of fruits and flowers, with cherry blossom and plum dominating the top notes. Then more flowers are introduced in the middle notes, which gives the scent a warm, oriental appeal. Then it finally settles to a musky yet young scent enveloped in the goodness of the classic green tea.
Usually, scent interpretations are hit and miss. But i'd have to give this one a thumbs up because the light and cheerful spirit of Green Tea is retained--- only with a dash of femininity.
