THE VERDICT:

Cheap yet good dark brown eyeliners are rare nowadays. I've tried scouring drugstore brands and unfortunately, they don't have the shade anymore. I've had my fair share of experience with local make- up brands. Almost all of the local make- up brands only have eyeliners. In my experience, local eyeliner brands are heavily pigmented, and using technique upon application is just too time consuming. There's a thin line between eyeliners and eyebrow pencils. And the latter is made to impart softer colors as compared to using the former.

I've been using the color black to emphasize my brows since time immemorial. And I want to try dark brown for a change. Make- up experts say that dark brown emphasizes your brows and gives you a younger look as compared to using black.

I dropped by Muji and saw this dark brown eyebrow pencil in the make- up section. It's kinda' costly at 225php, but it's cheaper as compared to buying branded ones. I decided to give this a try even though I'm thinking that 225php is way too expensive for a eyeliner.

Anyway, it's your average eyeliner. It's kinda' long, so I'm guessing this will last me for a long time.

Surprisingly, pigmentation is very good. And the texture is as soft as butter. It glides on smoothly and it imparts a generous dose of color. I swatched it heavily for color reference.

I'm kinda' not used to the shade because I've been using the color black all my life. I feel that I look "different" in a way I can't describe. One great thing about this eyeliner is, a little goes a long way. The consistency is blend- able so you can use a spoolie to spread the color on your brows.

It also complemented my hair color! And yeah--- I guess I look younger.

Overall, it's an amazing buy. I love the quality. Don't mind the price. It's all worth it.

I'm posting a pic of me sporting black- lined eyebrows. So which do you think is better?
