Due to our recent acquisition of an electric mixer, my brother and I's interest in baking was awakened.
Yesterday was a holiday. It was a slow and quiet day. Most people spent their days in their homes to make the most of their long weekend with their families. It was the same thing in our household. Yesterday was a day of cooking, dancing, and playtime with our beloved pooch friends.
Our house helper was cooking lunch, and my brother and I set up the ingredients needed to bake. He baked a cake and me, some cupcakes.
I really love Red Velvet cupcakes. The sweet and sour cheese frosting is heavenly bite after bite. I never get tired of eating the same cupcake flavor over and over again!
As an ode to my favorite cupcake, I recreated them in my humble kitchen. :)
Apart from musing about beauty and fashion, baking is one of my favorite hobbies. It's such a stress- reliever for me. :)
My first- ever cupcake batch! :)
My most favorite part in the baking process was the creation of the frosting. They were sooo perfect! The consistency is just like the cupcake frosting of Cupcakes by Sonja. :p I used cream cheese, flour, and a slab of butter. :) I had a hard time making the Rainbow Non- Pareils stick on the frosting. So I had to manually press the RNP on it!
My brother also baked this Hat Cake. It's swimming in cream icing with a chocolate sponge and cream custard filling. My mother fondled with the cake and put my brother's name initial on it. :p
Last pic. My red velvet cupcake topped with Rainbow Non- Pareils and Cinnamon dragees. Imma devour this one now!
