The Creamy Cheek Powder blushes are from the Wild Flowers collection of Spring 2010 by Paul and Joe.
Sometimes, cheek colors are quite hard to use because they tend to lose their color once you set them with powder. Thank goodness for these cream to powder blushes by Paul and Joe, I don't have to set them anymore with powder. It saves me a good 2- 3 minutes of preparation time too!
Kitten is a pale pink color with gold shimmers. I was kinda' afraid of the color because the shimmers are too obvious in the pan. But when applied, it looks like this:
However, the consistency of the blush is hard to work with. Some might have a hard time making the color show up (especially morenas like me). All you have to do is layer the blush and spread it lightly so your fingers will not wash the color out. A stippling brush is also recommended.
It is unscented, and it gives me that hint of pink on my cheeks that looks oh-so-natural.
Fair skinned ladies will benefit from this because the color will show up better on their skin tone. It's a very pretty color. If you have medium or dark skin tone, you can work this blush by dabbing it on your cheeks and running your fingers lightly once to even out the color.
Staying power is good. I only needed to retouch this once if the weather is cool, and twice if it's humid.
I don't really recommend it, but it's a good buy. If you're a Paul and Joe lover, you might want to try this! The Creamy Cheek Powder blushes are available in 4 colors.

ReplyDeleteit looks great on you! i love your FOTD here. ReplyDeleteWow.. pretty blush.. :) I'm into cream blushes lately too! I find them more natural when it comes to finish and they last a little longer too than my powder blushes..
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review Martha!! :)
askmewhats: I'm starting to love them too. darn their foundation, maganda kaso oily. :( thanks for visiting nikki! :)
ReplyDeletekath: thanks sis! i've seen some reviews online and it appears peachy pink on pale skin. :D
karla: true! they stay longer than powder blushes. but nothing stays better than tints. :) For cream blushes, i'm lovin' my bobbi brown pot rouge. :)
This shade looks really nice on you! I have always wanted to use cream blushes but I am too scared because I tried it once and the cream settled on the pock marks on my face. Is there any way that I can prevent this from happening? Thanks!
ReplyDeletenini: thank you! You can try applying make-up base or thicker foundation prior to applying the cream blushes. This way, you prep the canvas by smoothening it before applying colors.
ReplyDeleteAlso, use the cream blush sparingly, and blend it well and evenly so it won't settle on line, bumps, marks, and scars. :D
Hope this helped! :D
Let me know what you think of this post! :)
