The essence of Christmas is gift- giving-- whether you give something material, spiritual, or just a simple gesture of love, what's important is you are able to touch someone else's life this season.
That's why I love Christmas. It is the time of the year that reminds us how wonderful it is to share and give without expecting anything in return.
I was recently invited to The Body Shop's Bloggers' Christmas party. In celebration of the true spirit of Christmas, The Body Shop asked their chosen bloggers to choose any of The Body Shop's items, and choose someone who they would give it to.
"All I want for Christmas are these!"
Food, glorious food! Too bad, I wasn't able to take advantage of it 'cos I was pretty stuffed from Shen, Kira, Josh, and I's coffee session prior to this event.
Since The Body Shop is known for its humanitarian and environmental advocacies, each item you purchase from them helps sustain livelihoods of a lot of underserved families from poor countries across the globe.
JOYFUL FACT: Wondering why the best- selling Moonflower line was discontinued? Because the Moonflower is a non- sustainable flower. Various farming methods were tried to sustain the Moonflower, but to no avail. In a conscious effort to preserve the remaining Moonflowers, The Body Shop decided to discontinue the line (as per Ms. Joan).
Anyway, here's how the whole event went.
Now I'm refreshed and ready for the third and last event for the day! :D
Ate Rowena, one of TBS' resident MUAs did my lovely make- up. Thank you! :D
The Body Shop also rewarded the invited bloggers' unselfish act. The bloggers also received the same gift they asked for their special someone!
The TBS Glorietta SAs prepared a surprise dance number for us! Fun! :D
Moi, Josh, and Shen with our goody bags.
Finally! Met more new fellow beauty bloggers. The sisters behind The Peachy Pink Sisters, Trace and Dawn Llanera. Seeing the two made me recall how bad I wanted to have a sister. But I'm happy 'cos I have my brother. It's better than not having a sibling at all! :)
Half of these went to my mother. So what's your unselfish act for the Yuletide season? :)
