My Kind of Christmas

Time again for some of my feel- good posts since it’s the season of feeling great and happy!

Here are some ways on how I will make my Christmas meaningful and beautiful. Make them yours too!

Finally! We saw each other again, Krisan! :D

I wil reconnect with the people that matter to me

And I'm not talking about tweeting, FB chatting, or texting-- not even calling. Nothing beats the feeling of seeing those that you love in the flesh. Even if each person is already reachable no matter where they are in the world with the help of social networking, nothing can make them feel more loved and special than having a sit- down dinner or just a quick coffee session with them.

I will buy a fancy dress

I love dressing up during Christmas eve even if my family and I would just celebrate Christmas at home. I will get a flattering dress in my preferred style, color, and cut. I’m leaning towards a shift dress in red or black, and I’m having my fashion designer friend design and sew it for me! This will be a very special dress because it will be my first- ever custom- made dress, not to mention having one of my closest friends as the designer.

I will buy a striking red lipstick

It’s the most wonderful time of the year to sport those screaming reds again! When it comes to reds, I prefer playing it safe by wearing true or blue- based reds. This season, I will be adventurous and pick a deep red color. I’m eyeing Frenched from Benefit Cosmetics’ lipstick selection!

I will buy a new pair of wedges

Even if stilettos and pumps will look better and classier than wedges, I still prefer the latter because they’re more comfortable. After all, you don’t have to die just by being fashionable. I’ll get myself some cork or wooden wedges with black or white straps. I figured that I look better if I’m a bit taller. So as much as possible, I will wear heels often starting this month!

I will sing my heart out

Time to bring out our Magic Sing! My mom, brother, and I love singing. And it has always been our tradition to sing all day with our Magic Sing during Christmas. :D

I will be very, very positive

No hard feelings, disappointments, and speaking of anything negative about a situation or person this season! If we don’t feel good inside, and don’t see anything positive in the world, there’s no point in celebrating Christmas because Christmas is all about happiness and hope.

I will extend a helping hand to those in need

I’m sure you're all aware of the tragedy that struck our fellow brethren in Mindanao. They gravely need our help. I will donate some of my unused clothes to them. Also, I will give a bigger tip to the waiter that has served me, buy sampaguitas from a sampaguita girl on the street, and give bigger alms to those who beg for it. I may lose a lot of money, but the genuine smile I’ll be able to put on their faces? Priceless.
