TAGAYTAY CHRONICLES: Bag of Beans

Hola! How's Sunday going for everyone? I'm just chilling at a coffee shop right now while blogging in between. It'll be another loaded week for me, so I might as well savor my laid-back Sunday. (I'm so laid-back myself because I'm not wearing any makeup) :p

I just want to share how my Valentines day went. It'll be a three- part post named TAGAYTAY CHRONICLES. Mr. R and I spent our Feb.14 in Tagaytay. :)

Bag of Beans is one of the classic go- to places in Tagaytay. They're popular for their chill ambiance, lush green restaurant setting, and of course, PIES!

After a sumptuous lunch at Antonio's, and wandering and contemplating at Calaruega, the BF and I got hungry (again) and went here for our pie fix. We wanted to eat at Tootsie's for dinner. But too bad, we stuffed ourselves so much with pies! :p

White Mocha: Is my favorite coffee. :) FYI, White Mocha, or popularly known as White Chocolate is not really made from Chocolate!

Americano: The BF's favorite.

Blueberry Cheesecake: It's not the best cheesecake I've tasted, but it's good in its own right. It's frozen, and tastes like ice cream because the sponge is made of ice cream. (I've realized that it's really ice cream!) It was rock solid when it was served, so we had to wait for it to soften up a bit before devouring it. #ThrillKiller

APPLE PIE: Hmmmmm. Warm delicious pie filled with caramelized apple slices, and generously filled with apple sauce. It's great, but I wish the crust cover were thinner.

SHEPHERD'S PIE: Ground beef base, mashed potato crust. Correct me if I'm wrong, but their Shepherd's pie before came in a traditional pie crust (like the Apple Pie), filled with mashed potatoes and beef. The BF didn't like it because he said it tasted pretty average. I loved it though because of its creamy meaty taste (if that makes sense).

I'm sorry I wasn't able to take pics of the place because I was distracted by Bag of Beans' resident felines. They are soooo FAT, CUTE, and NICE! Anyway, the place is much better now--much better than how it was before. The garden area was improved, they installed romantic roofed dining tables for couples at the same area, and they're selling Z.E.N. Organics too!

Ok, now I'm hungry. Have a great week my dear readers!

Have you been to Bag of Beans, Tagaytay? What are are your favorites? :)
