NEW CROCS NEW YOU event with Laureen Uy

I think I was in Highschool when Crocs first opened their store in the Philippines, and I recall that I was a huge fan, especially of their classic chunky Crocs sandals. (The ala- Mario Batalli footwear) They're so comfy, that I bought a couple of them in different colors.

But times have changed, and so is my taste for footwear. Before, the chunky sandals looked cute on me but now, hmmm...Not so! And I'm happy to know that Crocs continues to innovate by coming up with a new line that's totally different from the cutesy Crocs I once knew. This time, the all- new Crocs for women is classier, sexier, and ultra chic!

The all- new Crocs Collection for women

The New Crocs collection for women is made for the contemporary woman with a discerning taste for footwear, yet not the type who's going to sacrifice comfort for style. From stylish sandals, to dressy ballet flats, and killer heels, Crocs has got you covered.

Laureen Uy, Brand Ambassador for Crocs Philippines also held a mini styling workshop for all the invited guests. Even though we always see her dressed up in ultra colorful clothes, she still stressed out that a girl must have these 5 staple closet pieces: 1.) White Tee 2.) Black Dress 3.) Statement Bag 4.) Killer Heels (I think she's referring to the look of the shoes, not really the height and the way it makes your feet feel) 5.) Ballet Flats
I couldn't agree more.

Lia Lopez, the winner of the NEW CROCS NEW YOU contest was also present during the event as one of the models. Out of the 800 hopefuls, Lia's story stood out from among the rest because it was all about Crocs changing her life and giving her new hope. Lia got into an accident last year, and her body was left half- paralyzed. During her therapies, she was only allowed to wear Crocs footwear. With an unwavering faith and Crocs by her side, she was able to walk normally again. The win is well- deserved!

DAY LOOK: Laureen mused that she's a fan of print-on-print styling and obviously, it's what she did on her models. :D The rule in print-on-print styling is, as per Laureen: don't be afraid to experiment with colors and prints.

CORPORATE/NIGHT LOOK: Laureen stressed that in corporate settings and night outs, a pair of Black Pumps will really come handy. She also pointed out that corporate outfit shouldn't look plain--spice it up with dressy accessories and a well- tailored blazer.
