THE VERDICT:

Imagine a pure ray of white light hitting a fusion of crystals, and emitting a thousand rays in a spectrum of colors---so radiant, so invigorating, and so dazzling. This is my way of describing Swarovski’s first- ever fragrance, Aura.

Perfumers Jean Pierre- Bethouart and Olivier Cresp of Firmenich, the makers of this fragrance, said that Aura was inspired by the impact of light and scent on the senses. For the first- time ever, the essence of the House of Swarovski was captured in this jewel- like bottle and incandescent fragrance.

Bottle is quite long and a bit heavy though. But at least you can reuse it again because the atomizer can be removed! The metal cap is topped by a huge crystal that reflects light and multiplies it into small colorful rays. Who on earth would want to throw away this precious bottle!?

Let's go now to the actual scent: Aura opens up to a light and refreshing note composed of Litchi fruit and Roses. Middle note is composed of Tuberose, which quickly disappears after a few seconds. In fact, I can barely smell it. Base notes are comprised of Pink Pepper, Amber, and Musk.

Whenever I use Aura, it’s like I’m bathing in sheer, magnificent rays of light: It’s crisp, cool, refreshing, and beautiful. A lot of girls and women will love this scent because it's airy, enchanting, and utterly feminine. It’s something that’s light enough for daytime wear, and sophisticated enough to be worn during night time. Pink Pepper is also a brilliant addition to the scent, as it gives it a spicy and unique appeal. If not for Pink Pepper, it will be another common fruity floral scent. Staying power is good as well. Whenever I'm wearing this, I always get compliments like "You smell so mysterious and beautiful", "You smell gorgeous", and "Your perfume smells so pretty". So yah, it’s definitely a keeper because it's me in a bottle. :)
