THE VERDICT:
A few years ago, I had a quarter life crisis-And I haven't even reached a quarter of my age yet! Okay, let's make it more acceptable: I had a 'Pains of a Graduating College Student' moment a few years back. I really didn't know what to do after college. A majority have forced me to find a job (which is expected), while a few have told me to do whatever it is that makes my heart sing. I had a strong preference for the latter advice, but I have to admit that it was the scariest between the two--it was like they're telling me to go against the standards and leave my comfort zone for good. I've always done whatever it is that makes me happy but that time, I felt that doing something just 'to be happy' wasn't the best decision for a graduating college student, especially when survival and independence were already knocking at my door.
One fateful day, I came across this quote:
What I know is, is that if you do work that you love, and the work fulfills you, the rest will come.
- Oprah Winfrey
Then I had an epiphany: I felt a sudden urge to just follow my dreams right after college. (Yep. Just like that!) I have always wanted to write about makeup, my main interest and passion, but it was always questioned by some of my peers and parents--They were almost telling me that I'll die with nothing but a pen and a piece of paper in hand. But I still went on and decided to continue with my writing pursuit-- It took me a sh*tload of courage to declare "To hell with your reservations! I am following my goddamn dream!"
To cut the long story short, I am now in place where I am completely happy and prosperous: I am doing what I love and I am able to feed myself in the process. Most of the time, I get what I want, be where I want to be, and meet the people I've always wanted to meet. Suffice to say, I am living my dream--well, almost. It is still far from my ideal life, but I know with all my heart that I could get there in due time. And the best part is, I am journeying to it on the path of my dreams.
To my fellow dreamers, I salute you all for taking the road less traveled. That, in itself, is already an admirable feat!
So why the sudden reminiscing, Martha? It is because right now, I am wearing a fragrance that reminds me of how powerful and successful someone can be, only if he/she chooses to.
Lady Million is a fragrance that commands respect and admiration, evokes sheer strength and confidence, and symbolic of success, fame, and fortune. It is for the woman who knows what she wants, and gets it. It is for the woman who won't settle for anything less because she believes that she deserves to be happy, to live her dreams, and to be on top of the world.
The flacon reminds me of a well- cut diamond with gold accents. It looks very precious to me!
Lady Million EDT is a toned- down version of its predecessor, Lady Million EDP. It is a lovely night time fragrance, especially during warm, summer nights because despite its warmth, it's never cloying and very easy to wear, although it's a bit too much for daytime. Top notes is a fresh and sparkling composition of Neroli and Lily of the Valley, while the heart is graced by the comforting fragrance of Gardenia and Hyacinth. Finally, the base notes comprised of Patchouli and Honey give the light floral fragrance a seductive touch. It is considered as a floral-woody fragrance. Wear time is pretty long for an EDT: It lasts for a good 4 hours on me.
Whenever I am wearing Lady Million, I always feel like I could be so much more, and I could only get better and better in whatever I am doing. That said, I dub this fragrance as one of my best finds this year!
To end this post, I am leaving everyone with one of my favorite feel-good quotes:
"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams."
- Eleanor Roosevelt
